New development - my balls have a sweet dark bruise covering most of them. Kind of a surprising thing to find and awkward to describe to the female nurse before seeing my flight doc. Appears to just be a normal impact bruise like you’d get anywhere else on the body but definitely not what you want to see.

And now back to your regularly scheduled Subaru thread.

I think that was my expression too, first time I'm seeing the aftermath. Slightly traumatizing.

But in positive news my thumbs are cast free and starting to get them moving again in therapy. Planning to take my truck for a drive this weekend...excited for that hasn't moved in 3 months

When I worked for Daytona H-D I had a huge Russian dude rent an Ultra Classic. By huge I mean he had to lean down and turn sideways to get through the door. He pretty much looked just like that leaving the parking lot.

this is a good point, and one i was thinking about the other day myself

I notice when i hear or see a siren on a fire/cop/ambulance, I just about damn near pull over to the side immediately

I do not think this is the case when hearing a motorbike, not to mention the raw size difference between a motorbike and an emergency vehicle

I do believe that being heard is a good thing, and I am sure it has a saved a life or more, but just as many people die with loud pipes thats all

When I was with the fire department the button for the lights was labeled "cloaking device" and the siren was labeled "stealth mode". Most people were oblivious when we were running code 3. Morning, noon, or midnight, we might as well have been invisible and silent. The danger is most drivers suffer from HUAS (Head Up Ass Syndrome).

I thought your bike would look worse given the severity of your injuries. Easy to see why you had the hand and arm injuries. Pretty trashed still and awesome that you've been recovering well all things considered.

Thanks man appreciate it, hope you're feeling better too. I figured the fork would be mangled but was surprised to see a chunk missing from the wheel. Not sure what snapped my femur, but similar to you I had crazy hematoma on my other inner leg that took a long while to fade completely.

The WRXs you guys have look great. I almost went that direction, but I just wasn't convinced that it would be a 200,000+ mile vehicle. I am the exact opposite of the gys who get new cars every few years. When I decide to plunk my $$$$$ down on a vehicle, I'm in it for the long haul. The WRXs are fun cars for sure, but I just wasn't convinced that it'd be a 10 year+/200,000+ mile vehicle. I do have a bike for fun, Yamaha FJR. I'm a retired "track-aholic" (R6 & R1). The FJR still scoots enough to get me some "performance awards" from John Q. Law, but is a lot more comfortable. Anyhow, nice WRXs, for sure. Maybe someday I'll have one as a 2nd car.

I have a conversation going on ADVRider with a guy who's interested in buying my OEM BMW aluminum cases off the F800. I may be going to the super soft side soon. In all reality, I use the top case a bit, but the side cases get pulled out once or twice a year for a random small costco or farmers market run or some shit. Plus, I've been daydreaming about how smooth the BMW's rear end would look without the racks :anonymous:

Super soft luggage (hopefully) here I come.

lol I'm confused. You're saying you want me to buy a reckless 40, then give you money and the brand new mosko for your used kriegas? o_O

Mosko still has their 20% off sale going, by the way.

Edit: I'd probably go with the 80L anyway, if I went that route. I still want to do the BDR in the near to mid future and I know I'd need more than 40L for my creature comforts haha
