Oem steering rack

Anyone else who ordered an oem steering rack received it packaged like this? My online orders are usually carefully packaged.

 

Where did you buy it?

Who delivered it? Did you inspect before signing or was it just tossed from the delivery vehicle?

The quality of help has gone down hill.

Was your Steering Rack in the original Box or was it repacked due to the box being destroyed?

 

Bought from Toyota Dealer in Florida.

UPS delivered and left it in the front door.

Rack came in original box. Not sure if this is how racks are packaged when delivered but I was surprised to still leaking from the plug where one of the lines connect to the rack.

 

I would contact the dealer and inquire !! poor quality help having no clue what they are tossing in a box.

You might have shipping damage. The way freight gets handled these days.

It has been some time last rack I bought was wrapped in bubble wrap and well packaged .

 

Thanks. This is the first time I ordered from this dealer and possibly the last. This stuff ain’t free.

 

I ordered mine through McGeorge and I wanna say it was wrapped in plastic and had some Styrofoam pieces on the ends that may press out of the box. It wasn't fully wrapped in bubble wrap or anything but not as badly as what yours came like

 

Then you don`t know if it was shipped from the Toyota Warehouse direct to you OP or via the dealer stock.

 

Is there a way to tell? The package has the dealer’s shipping label and the dealer’s invoice.

 

I should have ordered through them.

 

So packaged was...well there was no packaging other than shipping in a box. Not sure what they can do about that but...

My question is if i should look for anything that might have compromised the rack during the shipment? Looks like there might have been a longer bolt installed then replaced with a shorter bolt as seen in one of the pictures attached. Should that be a concern?
