Hey everyone, I figured I'd introduce myself since I've been pursuing the forums a lot lately.. Moved out to the Glenrock area in November after getting a job with Reclamation in Casper.
Haven't had too much of a chance to explore the area yet but I did do a small portion of the WYBDR from Medicine Bow to Alcova and loved what I've seen so far. I've got a 3rd Gen Tacoma that I've been slowly adding to when time and money permits, but we've now got a 6 month old so that's slowed it down a bit..

    Thanks!

This part always does. We have already started the "hurry up and wait" phase. My builder has his own crew so they did all of that work themselves. Now we will be at the mercy of sub contractors for power/electric/other stuff. But still should have a water tight house by the end of August which is great!

Haha you're not kidding. Got here in November and got to experience real wind for the first time. I hear it was a mild winter, too..

It's worth it though. I came from Oregon, which is beautiful, but it's getting too overpopulated and expensive out there. Went from a tiny 1918 house to something 60 years newer with a garage and shop for almost the same price!

Had a little fun today. Anyone need a phantom cat?

Pretty sure it should not be empty like this

    In with the new

Aw but now its not as stinky. The tone changed a bit too. Zane says it is now the best sounding 3.4L he's heard. Which is a very low bar. :cookiemonster::rofl:

Jealous. I've barely been out this year. Devins new work schedule does not make it very easy for us. Hopefully change once my concert season starts.

Sorry that's a bummer man. We've been out a lot more this year the last couple years. Happily the crowds are way down with everything opened back up in town.

Yeah I bet. Doesn't help here either all the easy mountain access has been closed from floods for a while. Just opening back up.

But that's good man. Hopefully we will get back into it next year. Just a big transition year for us.

I feel you. Big changes for sure; good changes though. We lucked out, we got lost of moisture but not enough to flood here. Was odd, sitting on a particular ridge this time of year and only a single fire burning. (moose fire, 32k acres). But the skies are remarkably clear this time of year.
    PXL_20220724_010305128.jpg

That said, I recently finished a book called Fire Season that did change my outlook on fires in the West. Highly recommend. Great insight into the mismanagement, the reasons behind it, the future, and a great view on the importance of fire each year.

Yeah all good changes so it'll be worth the wait.

Could use more moisture now though. Hot and dry. All the rain now is super isolated. Billings flooded tonight actually haha we barely got anything.

We are getting smoke from that fire actually. Comes and goes anyways. Been nice not being choked out. But I'm sure that'll change over the next couple if weeks. Fire is good. Just not too much haha
