    Good morning everybody :hattip:

It’s been a stressful couple of days.

Daughter-in-law is out of the hospital and doing much better now. She has a medical condition where her heart rate will sometimes become elevated for no reason. It’s been running high since she had another round of Covid a couple of weeks ago. She has been using an albuterol inhaler because of the Covid. It elevated her BP which further stressed her elevated HR.

Luckily she works at a hospital, she started feeling bad at work Friday night and went down to the ER to get her BP checked. It was in the 170/130 range and her HR was climbing fast. They hustled her into a room and started meds to lower both, that took a while. They got everything stabilized and kept her for observation, let her come home last night since everything has stayed normal. Follow ups scheduled with a cardiologist and some other testing to do.

As all this was going on I was also having a doggie crisis.

My dog had been drinking a unusually large amount of water but has been peeing regular. It’s been very hot and humid here so while I had noticed it, I wasn’t overly concerned. His appetite was fine, nothing else really unusual. Thursday night he suddenly threw up about 930 and was obviously not feeling well. Up and down with him all night, puking and pooping. Called the vet bright and early Friday morning and got in to see him. Told him what had been going on, he did and exam and ordered full blood work. I was expecting the worst while we waited for the results to come back.

When they did, while it’s not great, it wasn’t as bad as it could be. Dog's glucose levels were off the chart, he’s developed diabetes. So I got a quick refresher class on giving injections and we started with insulin injections. Friday and Saturday were pretty rough. By Saturday afternoon he was starting to feel better, eating and moving around a little more. This morning he’s alert and ate his normal amount of food. Water intake and output is starting to equalize. Follow up with the vet in the morning but it’s looking a whole hell of a lot better than Friday morning.

Let’s have a good Sunday everybody.

What seems bad at the moment can be relieved when reading others are coping with the same if not worse conditions.

The "neighborhood feeling" this group brings to these pages Helps ...:hattip:

DIL is actually a pharmacist at the hospital so she knows all about the drugs. Lol. She hasn’t been on anything because her heart rate has been normal for some time. Last time she was on meds for it was about 5 years ago, been normal since then. Something about the Rona triggered all of this. Cardiologist and testing are to see if she needs to go back on meds for a while.

That was a big fucker... I-HATE-SNAKES, especially the ones that can kill you.

I can't keep track of who this will trigger into a rant, so just enjoy it!

    Home made salsa:

    Boiled Ball Park franks

I picked up a decent used Delta 10" table saw on the way back from visiting the GF. Clarence is still barely hanging on, he is having many more bad days then good. His spirit is strong, his little body isn't. He has to be picked up to be set on things that he was still jumping onto just a few weeks ago. He did manage to climb onto the bed last night and wake us up with a 4:30 am visit. There was no way to be mad about that, it was actually pretty awesome. I had him in the back yard for about 20 minutes, he walked down to the GF's glassblowing studio/shed and sniffed around, then walked to the back outside corner and fang marked everything that he could reach, then walked back to the porch on the entrance and just chilled with me for a few minutes, listening to the birds chirping. The skeeters started attacking him so I carried him back into the house and set him into his bed. He was out cold within a few minutes.

It’s really not that bad, or I’m just a tough old SOB, or more likely crazy.

Well no thanks to you guys...the poops are dumped, camper is parked, and leveled
