RCAs to amp from HU
Power from battery to amp
Remote wire to ignition wire (or sometimes HU's have a spot for it.)
Local Ground to amp
Then some +/- to the sub from the amp.
Easy. I recommend 0-2 gage for the amp power and ground wires. since you're probably going to have that pretty far from the battery and put a breaker on it in the engine bay. You'll have to figure out what amperage. that way if you blow its just a quick pop of the hood and you're back to bumping.

 

Well this changes nothing but length.

 

Why would put the tweeters and speakers to HU not amp?

 

Do you have a lower wattage amp for them? Most DIYers never think to amplify the rest of the system.
