I have been thinking of getting ramps for the wife’s Camry and doing the oil changes on it. I’m just undecided since in my 51 years I have never needed them. I could save some money by doing them myself.

it wraps around the stock one which is why I wanted it. It has holes to relocate the BSM sensors too

I’ve never seen anything like that. I can’t wait until next weekend to see pics.

Don't get the steel ramps I bought from HF. I tried to drive my wife's Elantra but the angle wouldn't allow the tires to meet the ramp because of the low front end.

Pinned the transmission thermostat open in preparation for shenanigans next week. I used a 1.6mm dia. stainless R-pin.

avid off-road is the brand. I thought the same thing when I saw it. The gentleman I bought it from, @OmahTako , was getting rid of his truck and gave me a deal on both I couldn’t refuse. Threw in the paint for free too.

Drove thru the Florida wildlife corridor for 250 miles from big bend to the panhandle creeks and saw 20-25 Tacoma's of all ages doing just fine.
Tomorrow, we head back south along the Gulf.

For what it’s worth, I removed mine because they made the seating position really bad for me. If you can find some at a discount, that’s the way to go. Just in case they aren’t what you hoped for.

That’s good advice, thank you for sharing. I’ll keep an eye out but I won’t rush into anything, especially since the seat is comfy enough at the moment.

I’m going to drive from Seattle to Chicago next month so my opinion might change after that though, haha!

So do you all have any recommendations? It’s my luck I will buy something I can’t use.

I have these for my Prius, Corolla, Camry, Avalon

    https://www.raceramps.com/garage-service/ramps/race/p/rr-56/

for Tacoma and 4Runner, I have a set shorter but greater approach angle ramps

I don't use those ramps for my wife's Elantra. For that, I go on-base (Dover AFB) and utilize the Auto Hobby Shop's stall lifts for $6/hr.

Been using Race Ramps for years. Can’t beat them! Pricey, but worth it. Super light weight, but also very strong. And the approach angle makes it easy to drive up onto without fear of jumping off the end, something I’ve done with other ramps.

I have no doubt those ramps will last FOREVER if used within spec limitation. The only minor cosmetic problem I have is that some coating started cracking at the bottom, but that's not structural and doesn't bother me.

A little paltry compared to much of the amazing things in this thread, but I added a beaver tail step to the hitch today. I kind of like it!

You might want to grab a set (even the el cheapos) to take with you. Takes all of about 15 minutes to install them, so you'd be able to see the difference right away, on your trip.
