I probably had 800 in it but that was mostly the paint. Two one gallon kits would do it. I stretched it out over a week. Sanding in the afternoons through the week, taped it up Friday afternoon and sprayed Saturday morning.

Changed the oil, air filter, and lubed suspension and fixed the rubbing issue (for now).

Washed and cleaned the truck, conditioned the clazzio seaat covers. Slammed 8 Mexican beers on my 115 degree driveway. C9102948-1BD8-40F8-8D28-E884C7A06F76.jpg

Not really what I did to the taco but I got up to Yosemite yesterday. Started seeing smoke in the evening.

Thought it was from the fire up by the giant sequoias but apparently it’s a new fire that covered the valley so heavily that we left today instead of Sunday. Highway 140 that we came in on was closed because the new fire is in Mariposa so we had to take an alternate route home. Here’s a pic leaving the valley but it was much darker than the pic portrays.

Took almost 90mins to clear the smoke..

Put gas on both trucks and drove to Houston to check out Rigs and Tuners II; great location, friendly people, can't go wrong with it. Look up "Rigs and Churros" on social media for the next dates.

    Pretty straightforward, really.

Warm up the engine a little, spray it down with engine degreaser, let it sit for a few minutes. You may need to scrub some areas with a long-bristle brush. If you have any electrical stuff exposed, cover them up with plastic grocery bags.

    Then power wash it off.

What I do, use my harbor fright pressure washer which is like 1800psi. Wash as much dirt as I can.
Then spray everything down with simple green, and use these brushes to scrub everything. Then rinse off.
Final step is to wipe it dry with a microfiber towel to not leave any water stains

Can I use a garden hose? Just don’t hit the electrical and alternator? I’ve never done this

I added the bed lights a few weeks ago that I purchased off of Amazon, took no longer than 15 minutes. I’m very happy with them. Best part about it is, the wife was even impressed.

i spray the whole car engine bay down and cover nothing. spray engine cleaner. let it soak then hose it down again.

think about it this way. we drive in rains. cross rivers. floods.. so forth and everything under their gets wets or under water. i little water hose or pressure washer wont do much. at least imo

Installed my QuikFix seat risers from @mrproduxn, it’s crazy how much of a difference an inch makes under the rear of the seat. I’m no longer constantly adjusting my position in the seat. Picture below of the QuikFix and my filthy floor.

Washed the truck and luckily noticed an inch x 1/4 inch long rust spot that wasn’t visible from the ground on top on the cab, looks like it was probably from hail that creased the paint on impact. Sanded treated and repainted.

Here’s a weird one. Turned on my AC when I got on the highway, it was only blowing hot air. After getting off the highway and pulling up to a stop I turned the AC off and rolled to the stop in neutral. Put it in first and turned the AC on again after leaving the stop and still hot air. Next stop left it on and went into neutral, and the air started to cool down? Put it back in first and went on my way, with AC working for the rest of the drive. Was it like a reset? Not sure if it’s related, but I did disconnect my battery yesterday to clean MAF and throttle body.

There is a ac clutch relay that when it starts going out it will let the compressor cut on and off. That's where I'd start looking.
