Was building a spare tire mount for the trailer and noticed the hubs have play. All 4. With the tire on the ground. Being cheap and buying cheap equipment is the most expensive choice i continue to make

 

At least trailer hubs are usually pretty easy to rebuild.

 

yeah. I need to tear into it and see if I can get bearings from a local parts place.

I should be pretty good at doing bearings by now

 

I got my last set from a farm store. Grade A Chinese, we’ll see how they do if I ever get it on the road

If this source is good then I'm fine because they're all less than 1/8" play. I didn't realize the standards for trailers were so loose

I think as long as your hubs aren’t getting hot you’re probably a-ok

 

Yeah I occasionally check with the temp gun and they're never particularly hot


I've found the etrailer stuff to be pretty good. Do you still use the trailer often?
