Bad gas and or loose bolts sound like a possibility to me.

happy foot. does it to all of us when we forget the price of having fun and power. Enjoy it while you can. 4 cyl options really suck.

An increase in MPG would just be a bouns. The awful shift points and underused HP are the pain points for me...I knew what I was gettign into with MPG before I bought a Taco.

all true - having a Tune that makes shifting normal (or what you would expect) is the biggest bonus of the Tune - the rest just makes the smile bigger and driving more enjoyable.

I suggest that you try to reflash the tune file but clear codes and reset ecm using TECHSTREAM. Let it idle till operating temperature then drive the car for a couple of miles (3-5 miles) then stop let idle it again. Take out some loads while doing this so it would relearn really well. (A/C off, lights off, radio off). You will notice that your rpm will be right on the MONEY. after letting the tune sit in for maybe 300 miles and a tank of gas. MPGS will shoot up. Hopefully that exhaust noise will be gone too.

Thanks guys! I’m happy to finally have a decent tune after being one of the first to install the supercharger a couple years ago.

My ECU still needs to do some learning. I’ll do a review after it has plenty of time to adjust to everything. So far I’m happy and REALLY like the new redline.

Yea - it was only a jog around the block but I liked the pick-up. I am wanting a Magnuson Charger now! #SuperchargerEnvy

I thought you'd like it. That surge of torque off idle is unreal.

    You'll have to ask @OpelGT

    I'm a bit biased.

Still testing! But I definitely think it’s a big improvement in drivability over the magnuson tune.

I want to do a comparison performance run 0-60, quarter mile, etc. but I’m struggling with launching the truck. My truck either stumbles from launch or has terrible axle hop. There’s almost no inbetween. The stumble eats over a second from my 0-60mph and I just stop once the axle starts hopping.

I had this issue before the tune a lot of the issue is my aggressive aftermarket clutch. So it’s not a problem with the tune but the added power probably makes it more difficult to control.
After the magnuson was installed I did dozens of test runs and everything was about the same as stock (non supercharged) for 0-60 except for one perfect run. Where I shaved 1.5seconds off of stock.
I’m expecting a further 0.25-0.5 second improvement based on how good this tune feels, but it is significantly harder for me to launch on this tune and ECU ID because I’m so adjusted to the previous set up. I’ll find the sweet spot though.

Also, mZiggy have you calculated the average percentage increase in HP and torque on your dyno.
I’m curious because it looks pretty impressive. You can calculate it by finding the area under the curves for both maggy tune and Stryker runs and then doing (Stryker-Maggy)/Maggy then multiply by 100 for percentage gained.

I’m getting 16.5% avg HP gained and a ridiculous 22% increase in avg torque if I traced the graph correctly!

I never did calculate the average, but your math probably checks out. If you took that 3k rpm spot, it's about a 60whp/100wtq gain.

When I put in my aftermarket clutch I actually put the accumulator back in. It softens up the engagement.
