Good God man, you paint such a vivid picture with your words. (I'm jealous I didn't say something like this first)

It’s already been mentioned, but I’ll say it again. Change the fluid in both diffs. IIRC the front diff breather is on the drivers side firewall, and it was likely under water (or at least close) based on how you were perched in that big ole puddle.

While you’re at it, do the rear diff breather mod to help with next time.

    Sorry this happened to you.
Pull the carpet out and clean the floor pan. You can probably pressure wash the carpet once it is out. Pull the door panels off and clean in there as well.
I believe there are some electrical connectors under the carpet, get them clean and dry before reassembly.
As others said inspect/change any suspect lubricants.

Fluids as mentioned, but just as important the electrical as @RustyGreen mentions... there are a number of harnesses underneath the vehicle, they should be okay, but I don't think Weatherpack is rated for IPX-7, so I'd pull them apart and give them a good WD-40ing. Make sure you disconnect and dry all the connectors under the carpet, and lower down in the cab. Spray with Deoxit or similar, and re-assemble. If you don't get that, you're going to have a really entertaining and colour dash display in something between a couple of months and a year or two!

@20tacosr5 I got stuck in a creek once for a few hours and water had gotten into the cab as well. I didn’t get any electrical damage all speakers and power seats and seat heaters are still fully functional.
Remove the seats, remove the carpet kit, and remove the door panels let them all sit in the sun. Use a towel to wipe down any residual moisture in the cab as well as any hard water marks. I did two different things when I could ran a dehumidifier inside the cab to help pull excess moisture, and on hot days I cracked all the windows down 1” and let the truck sit in the sun.
Just know you can’t cover the smell you have to remove all the moisture to get rid of the smell.

note I had my 5.29 gears installed a few months after this and no water or rust was found in the diffs.

as people mentioned - aside from some fluids make sure you check, dry, clean electrical connections under the seat and carpet and the door sill.

otherwise - no big deal - have fun, learn a lesson

On my 2nd gen, I used to drive in the swamps, got stuck in deep water a couple of times. Most of the electric connections where under the seats, so if the water didn’t get that high, you should be fine.

Someone tell him that $35k is just scratching the surface in boat land, unless of course we're talkin' jon boats, skiffs, and things that doesn't have engines. Lol.

OP, 3rd that get a Servpro or if you're DIY, gut the interior promptly. I'm about to have to deal with this because of a leaky roof rack that I didn't know was even leaking, no visible water, foggy windows, etc but still mold on the carpet pad.

I did this once, immediately after I pulled the cab plugs, when I got home I removed the seats, shop-vac'ed about 5 gallons of water out of the carpet, cleaned the silt from the cab floor as best I could, used milk crates to prop up the carpet and put carpet dryer blower fans to blow air under the carpet and drove around for a month in summer with the windows down and the heat on and there was still condensation in the vapor barrier on the jute in the carpet two years later when I completely gutted the cab and did dynamat and the vinyl fleet vehicle carpet replacement and the humidity dropped noticeably.

The humidity is going to be obnoxiously high in the cab until you totally replace the carpet too I'll bet.

0/10 wouldn't do again and I only had 2" of standing water on the passenger side and was only stuck for about 10 minutes.

Glad it is working fine now, but I would really like to hear from you in 2 months when the corrosion kicks in to full gear on the wiring connectors and modules.

Quick question for a noob here: I see many people suggestion the check/replace of the diff fluids, I was just wondering why? I'm 100% not questioning the validity of the advise, but just wondering what water does to the diff fluid/parts. Again, super auto noob here lol

Are they not all currently on high school summer break here? I did something similar when i was a senior getting an old jeep XJ stuck in a swamp for 3 days. However it was a $500 jeep and mostly just mud.
