I had to look at google maps to see where it was. I agree too far but maybe you can find a TW express?

Yea, down there. I will keep looking. I should be able to find one locally used in good shape, and if not...........$17 more for new.

Stand outs are worth it. Get a good one. I like the quick detach ones.

I just sold a 32’ and a 40’ at the end of last year :anonymous: I’m done with anything more than a 24’ will reach. I have more than put my time in on a ladder

Thats a nice ladder! I bought that standoff/stabilizer attachment and like it so far. It clips on/off easily so I store can store it in the shed while the ladder stays outside.

Last year, a retired electrician sold me his 40' and 28' fiberglass ladders for $100 because I was the first person to reach out to him 5min after posting them on facebook and I dropped everything to go get them right away. He said by the time I got there he had over a hundred messages.

Like EVERYONE who is offended....I want millions of dollars and laws to be made! how dare they! :)

I kid. I'm not entirely sure what i'm seeking with all this. I am not particularly worth respect, but i also know if I did that kinda stuff to the person who pays me for my work, I'd be fired....eventually after all the government paperwork is done. I'm not sure what could make this right. The brokerage has the info and resolution or restitution is up to them to offer.

If I was them, I suppose i'd dig into the matter and black-list companies who are seemingly incapable of even basic human interaction/customer relations. Would I take a partial refund? Sure. Am I after a winning lottery ticket on this stuff? That sorta thing is not my bag, baby...unless, I dunno, a drunk dude driving a city truck hit me...then i'd consider something because I owe it to my truck, my family, and maybe mankind to really, REALLY do-up my truck nicely.

    #beers :)

Yes. Ft. Meade does have a nice Auto Hobby shop with quite a few lifts. Must be active duty, retired military or DoD civilian\contractor. I've used the Auto Hobby shoe extensively in the past but I haven't been there in a couple of years.

The only problem I see with the quick detach version is it doesn't have the same width span for wider windows. I also want a pole/tree strap or brace. I saw a standoff designed for corners that does all four, off the house flat wall, roof, or corner, and also poles/trees but it looks monstrous and heavy. I will need a lift or crane to get the ladder into place. The first time I stand it up I am braking something, putting holes in something or hurting myself. I lay money on it.

Plus I am afraid the clip on version will not get me far enough away from the roof. Obviously I know jack shit about ladders, roofs, or working on anything higher than 5' but this looks like you have very little room for vertical adjustment. Your setup needs to be perfect for this. My front is a stepped concrete sidewalk, and if I need to go out in the grass it's a slope. With one that stands off farther, I can mount it lower on the ladder to push off the house under the eave.

So this (actually, mine are deeper)

    [IMG][IMG]

    vs this

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Everything I do is dangerous Mason...........everything.

Yea, I got tired of using the articulating one and all the flex it had. Besides replacing all the rain gutter nails with lab bolts, I also need to do some tree and pole work so a real ladder will be beneficial. I had been looking off/on for a while, and just wasn't about to buy one at full price. If I used it for work, that'd be a different story. I just finally decided to get off the pot is all. I looked at as much used crap as I could stand, knew I didn't want aluminum, and started calling places. One was up in New York State, another in Jersey, and Delaware. Those were all better deals money wise but I really like the built-in safety features this ladder has. Especially with me. If I could have gotten the deal you did though, holy crap!

So now I need a standoff. I'm not sure why I can't make something out of 2x4's ....................

The funny thing is, I am afraid of heights. So just getting up a 16' ladder is fun. What's another 8 or 10 feet?

Yea, diesel is up there now. Hell, even 6 gals of straight gas is 25 bucks anywhere. I get 5 cuts with that, and like 4-5 cuts with 10 gals of diesel. This doesn't take into account any of my mixed fuel. I use Stihl synthetic in that. Wear and tear, my time, maintenance, repairs, cleaning. After you add it all up you really start to wonder if a monthly paid service isn't a better deal. Although with my hills, and the fact that I cut about 2 acres at a time on the rider, and have walked half of that with the 22" Toro when the mood strikes me. And on the days I need to get the hedgers and trimmers and blowers Oh My, out it's an all day event. But it's great exercise and nothing gets me closer to things that need my attention. And something always does.

If it was all flat or even relatively flat, I could ride it faster, all of it, wouldn't need 4wd, or diesel, and could probably do it all in less than half the time. As it stands, without 4wd a lot wouldn't be possible. And with the snow we are capable of getting, a diesel for the hills and for occasional snow removal is nice.

I have thought about buying a fueling tank(s) but I'm afraid of storing that much at once. Maybe 15 gals of each though. That's not bad. They have the type on wheels with a hose, nozzle and some are powered. I have this thing I insert into a gas can, and it has a hose, and you insert batts, push the button and it draws fuel up and through the hose.

I am scared to death to try it. It looks like it cost all of 37 cents to make, and I am using nicad batts, 6 AA, to power it. The pleated smoothie straw I used in my Bubba cup for mixed drinks is thicker. It looks like a joke. I plan on using it in the straight gas can that I only use in the 22" mower. It's a bitch to hold up and pour from with only two hands. So since that holds a gal I hope this works out for me until I can afford the more expensive 15 gal transfer tanks.

Welp, that settles it then. Next thing you know she'll be buying you white, pleated front, above the knee bermuda shorts and a lavender polo shirt to match her lavender blouse. I've seen it a million times.

Just get ready for it by taking up golf

Sir William, I'm buying the ingredients tonight, and some wings, that I will marinate overnight in a very hot Caribbean jerk sauce, and pop the cherry on my air fryer (it's the only real reason I got it, fuk broccoli and shit, i'm rockin' skrimps, wings, squid, lobster raviolis). And time for some 714s!
