I had tape all over my bag, all while UPS kept posting "Arriving Today" only to arrive 3 days later. Received a a pair; thankfully, and installed. Thanks War Fab, and thanks for the group buy. I finally made it to a good one.. IMG_20220716_151202_659.jpg

Yeah I'm thinking @WarFab Armor May have to start shipping these in boxes due to the absolute ineptitude of UPS. It stinks that that's additional cost but I'm sure we the customers are more than willing to pay that little bitty extra bit of insurance. I know I am and several others in here have mentioned the same. Definitely not warfabs fault.

Btw.... These things are total beefaroni :muscleflexing:

Did these while I was replacing lower coilover bearings and spacers, install was straight forward and near idiot proof.
Driver side tie rod end unscrewed with 20 rotations, but I was only able to get 18 on with the sleeve...passenger side was 15 rotations off and on.

Alignment scheduled for later this morning.

Update - Of course I didn't expect much from my lifetime alignment at Firestone...at least they didn't attempt to do a tire rotation this time. That said, they wouldn't mess with the driverside due to "your aftermarket part, the left side cannot be aligned".

Interesting to see what they were able to do to the passenger side and what impact it has on the pulling to the left.

Again thanks for these beefy sleeves!!

Wondering if that's what I'll need to do in order to get my alignment trued up. Running entirely stock tie rod inner and end.
I was only able to get 18 of 20 rotations needed on the driverside. I was within half a rotation on the passenger side.

Oddly enough the toe specs when I got to Firestone were damn near identical...Not sure how they made the driverside toe worsen by 0.84 inches compared to how it came in...
    20220723_201836~2.jpg

I did tell them about the driverside being maxed out with the new sleeve replacing the jam nut, but had to leave before they worked on it (the techs are kinda used to my Taco alignment needs and will chat with me briefly before putting the alignment sensors on the wheels). 20220723_201845.jpg

Guessing I'll need to do your technique and then try clamping the crap out of the flared inner part with some larger needle nose vice grips and see if I can get a few more rotations on the sleeve post wallowing out.

I agree that could be the only factor changing it. I did it to where I had a little bit of extra room to play with so that I could mess with the alignment. It’s worth a shot for sure in order to get alignment true especially if the amount of turns was off.

You might be right with regard to caster in my case, and like you said same year and factory truck will not likely be installed the same way with the same spec'd part...part of the 'game' that we play with these trucks.

I'm not worried about it, and again am more than impressed with it's heft, the fit and finish of them are way more than I'll technically ever need. Happy to have had the opportunity to jump on the GB and happy to have learned about it, so again thanks @boogie3478 for you end of getting this out to us!

I took my truck to Firestone and told them to do a “toe and go, don’t fight the aftermarket UCA since it has caster built in”. Mine came out fine.

The teflon lined bag or a small box? Whatever is easiest for you guys! Anything works as long as UPS can't lose them again :(

    Thanks @WarFab Armor
