This past week, I designed, fabbed and installed these track mounts on my dash and head unit! I have to say they look sweet!

Got the dreaded trouble code p2441 on my 2014 TRDOR last week. Called the dealer today. They see the recall, but said I first need to come in for an inspection. I have an appointment for 2 days from now, but I have a few questions for the brain-trust.

I've already cleared the code. Were it to not return between now and the appointment would that be an issue at inspection?

I have an aftermarket CAI installed, will that affect their willingness to complete the repair?

Same question but regarding the uni filter?

I added these new to me Ray10’s!! I have to lose the front mudflaps now as they rub with the offset. Anybody have a suggestion for replacement flaps that are reasonable priced?3B53F13B-5D53-49B2-BB10-4BD0BED4D74F.jpg

Our 2012 was stock. They replaced several components including the filter and housing. I would assume they will toss the unifilter so I would remove it first. The CAI should have no effect on the recall. The air pump is a separate system. We had no codes but got the recall letter.

Installed Hub assemblies from @05Taco4x4 both sides today! Highly recommend! This is probably something I should’ve done like 20,000 miles ago… truck feels completely different! It’s crazy what you probably mistake for tire noise while! Very pleased with the ease of install, quality of parts, and the end result. In over 91,000 miles keeping fluid film on my truck has really kept it easy to work on! 6B61DAF5-2D60-454D-A44F-4D2668228BEB.jpg7280755D-708F-4092-800D-561553804A8E.jpg

Plasticolor from Oreillys. They are flexible and come in standard or XL lengths. $20 to $25 per pair. Can take stock ones and punch thru existing holes for exact alignment. Never had any issues with them on my 3rd gen. BONUS Tacoma style mountain theme.

The dealership didn’t like my CAI when the pump/valves went out the first time, they claimed where the pump was moved could have caused the failure. But I have an extended warranty through a third party and the dealership didn’t mention the CAI to them, and I was later reimbursed for the deductible.

You got that code with the uni filter mod already installed? Thought the uni filter prevented this.

On our 2012 they replaced the entire manifold assembly (or whatever it is called) for the system plus the filter and housing cover. I would either put the original intake on it or, if you have a buddy, swap his for the CAI until the recall work is done.

Funny you should mention that. I just picked one up today for $40 off FB. It’s for a 6ft bed but I’m just going to trim it.

    Just some stuff...
How are they different from oem? Do they just lay flatter against the body?

They are flexible rubber. Not unforgiving solid molded like oem. They will not snap off under stress like the oem style. The oem molded are generally fine behind the rear tires but the fronts are more prone to damage in a bind. The flexible types will simply twist or fold out of the way when in a bind and then return to their flat shape. Same concept at RokBlokz but at 1/3 of the price. Used mine over 3 years with no problems.

All this talk reminded me on our trip I got a "Pending Trouble Code" on my Ultragauge. It is P0022. Has anyone had this come up before? Alarm went off when it came up. O cleared it. When I started to drive again it came back up. Didn't clear it and it didn't chime at me again. There was no noticeable issue with the truck and we continued to drive over 1000 miles after it came on. Anyone got an idea? I looked up a thread on here that talks about it but there didn't seem to be a resolution other then cleaning the oil control valve.
