9 out of 10 times dad wound his LUV up tight running fire calls he had to put a head gasket on it not to long after. It had the aluminum head on it and couldn't take it. They've came a long way.

But now it's come back around full swing and cars are back to blowing head gaskets. Fords 4 cylinder Ecoboost are known to eat them early on in life. Guess the little engines can't handle boost, or it's the programming that makes the engine lug.

My first truck was a '80 4x4 that my grandpa ordered brand new. Beefy frame and running gear but the engine/trans combo sucked in comparison to the Toyota stuff of that era.

Pretty sure I know the answer to this question but I'll ask anyway.

Has anyone ever bought a Bag O' Crap from Woot?

    upload_2022-7-25_13-18-53.jpg

For those unfamiliar, it's $9.99 and might contain things like a box of Kleenex worth $2 or it could have a Garmin GPS worth $200. You won't know until it shows up.

I may or may not have purchased one that will be delivered on Thursday.

    Don't tell my wife.

I've tried to get one for a while but they sell out almost immediately.

I figured for $10 I'll take a chance. Which is ironic since I spent 4 days in Vegas and didn't spend a dime on the old one armed bandits.

Yes. WOOT! Is now owned by Amazon, so it’s likely to be various Amazon returns.
Years ago, the guy who owned WOOT used it as a way to unload unsold items from deal-a-day. They also held back extras for damage in shipping, lost, or plain fails. Things missing parts, broken item, etc. it was a fabulous way to be adventurous if not experimental.

He walked away from Amazon and opened again with same concept, but more back to the core values.
The site is MEH.com and the company is Mediocre. They own MorningSave.com which hosts all the TV show discount deals. The new BoC is called a Fuku (Short for fukubukuro, which is a Japanese thing). It has transitioned into being called an IRK (named after a website mascot) which is referred to an Instant Regret Kit. Enjoy!

Not sure to like that or not...
A 3 state away boss sounds like a good thing.
Bad if the old boss was a decent guy.

I heard the convoluted logic of and cleaned up after workers needing to "do things faster".

I never saw one of them do any extra work with all the time they "saved" thought...:frusty:
