The install is pretty straightforward. I just followed the YouTube install video from CaliRaised. My pointers:

    1. Check all the hardware and lay it out before starting. Two reasons; there are half inch and 5/8 long bolts that look the same. So nice to be certain. Second, mine came with two wrong sized nuts so avoid any headaches by accounting for everything first.

    2. The only thing I deviated in terms of install was the roof molding. Instead of removing completely, I used the UpTop method by punching holes at the 5 mounting portions in each molding. I then threaded the screws down in each hole to ensure any paint that was caked in the threads came out. Then I placed the molding back on, filed the threads with silicone upto the surface of the molding and set the spacers in. I had no issues threading the bolts.

    3. Make sure you have a 10mm ratcheting wrench. It’ll make tightening the last mounting bolts on the rear most mounts easy. They’re located under the extrusions and you can’t get a socket in there. I didn’t even have a 10mm regular wrench and had to use an adjustable wrench which took forever.

    4. Try to do it out of the sun. The black aluminum heats up in minutes and makes it really hot to the touch.

    Hopefully this helps!

Not sure, I used one from Amazon. They positively click into each other and the closed barrel pins really grab the wire well. They seem like they should hold up forever.

This is really awesome. I’m going to go ahead and order them. Best part is they can be installed without removing the extrusion. I’m thinking I’m going to install them to the under side of the extrusions to completely hide the wiring. Thank you so much for this!

I'm sure, it looks awesome. Did you go with steel or aluminum? Thanks for the tip!

For install, I referenced the below videos which explains it all very well. The trickiest part was definitely the seat mounted airbags. Just take your time ensuring proper strap orientation on the bracket and you’ll be fine. You will also need an external Torx socket for the airbag / bracket, 8” bolt cutters, hog pliers / hog clips. Recommend taking your time and being deliberate with installing / tightly securing the new hog clips as they provide the relief / crispness of the install at the surface. And yes, I bought a $40 steamer (one that be used both vertically /horizontally) which was a huge help for a clean install. Finally, I installed the headrests over the existing cloth. Feel free to message me if you have any other questions.

    Three little things:
    • Coin tray for that little hole on the left side of the steering wheel.
    • Cement trim for above the climate controls.
    • Gas cap holder.

I guess I’m not surprised by that. How long are we talking here? I’ve made it 2 months (warm ones at that) with no issues yet.

Between the sun and rain here in Hawaii it lasted about 4 months, didn’t realize until I heard the wiring flapping against the roof while on the highway.

I have an attic now. @flatironsoverland had a label created within an hour or two of me placing an order and it was out same day. Solid product (as far as I can tell on day one after the install), solid service.
