    Ooooh… Zing!

in an 8spd Audi Q5… when it down shifts… it has more options rather than shifting from 5th to 3rd or 2nd.

The Audi has other perks too. But smooth shifting is noticed when I drive my partners ride.

A real question is what happens when the battery in any EV cycles out and the owner needs a new one.

Right now there are plenty of people waiting on Prius batteries with no ETA.

and of course…. Where will all those batteries go when they get replaced?

How great can a Rivian be, if you are just going to drive it to same place as the people with Tacomas, Outbacks, and Jaguars congregate?

The gearing is one element but the Tacoma has absolutely fucking terrible ECU programming as is evidenced by how much better it is via tunes. Luxury/sportier cars have better gearing _and_ better programming.

EV batteries are recycled. California warranties EV batteries for 10 year/150k miles but other states aren't so great. States like IL actively disincentive EV because, well, lobbying.

The Taycan is the best electric wagon out there.

The only thing that sucks is the range because they needed to keep the weight down.

I'd love to see what 0-60 in 2.5 sec feels like. I'd also love to have a blonde and a brunette at the same time. Being poor sucks.

I have a Taycan GTS. It feels good. ;) It did not feel dissimilar from the R1T's 0-60 or the Huracan I test drove. Once you get to around 3 it all just feels "very fast".

The most shocking thing about the Huracan was how much effort that engine had to put in to pump out those horsies.

oh not arguing against the EVs at all..... I just think the fake manual transmission that are in some of them are dumb because people are trying to hold onto what they like in a 6MT ICE vehicle and force it into a BEV

2 different animals - you are right, both every time
