Yeah, I'd heard that but was hoping there was a website I don't know about that is sitting on a pallet of them. I'll likely have to go aftermarket which isn't a problem since this is just for plinking.

It depends which red dot you use. Burris fastfire 3 has a line on the back of it that co-witnesses with a suppressor height front sight when mounted on all of the milled slides I have. The extra height of that dovetail mount may work if you have a lower profile red dot. Other than trial and error, not sure how to find out.

*FF3 won't work with any rear sights regardless

    Same crap everyone else got
u/wage92 on reddit is the go to guy to get slide milling done.
Glock $70 for the cut, $80 for cut and blue, $105 for cut and full slide cerakote. Everyone uses him on reddit and I have yet to see anyone that was disappointed.

edit: posted before I saw @montijo505 post. Same guy.

The Mrs. and I got a pair of G43s on Saturday. She got the purple one...

Went to the range on Sunday to burn some powder and function check the guns.

I've ordered additional magazines, parts from TangoDown, night sights from Wilson Combat.

I need to polish the internals, and find a holster or three...

    Has anyone run a G19 barrel in a G26?

I recently picked up a couple of AlphaWolf Barrels (G17L and G19), and since I have the tighter barrel for my G19, I'm thinking about using the longer one on my 26, the IWB holster I have for the 26 still covers the protruding barrel, and it cycles on the bench with snap caps but I/m hoping to confirm it's safe before running it that way at the range.

Also, has anyone used a 17L barrel as a "Conversion" barrel to run 9mm in a G35? That also cycles OK with snap caps (40 cal ejector seems to work with 9mm casings), but I'm not sure if the extra clearance between the barrel and front of the slide might cause issues.

    Zaffiri slide ported barrel.

Super light don't hardly notice it in back pocket.
    Only a 6 + 1 shooter.

The ported barrel really reduces the snap to the wrist these shorties make...Steel plate in mine from a dirt bike incident, short barrels seem to hurt me...and magnums.
Love these Ameriglo Spartan sights..can see sight in total dark.

I have a Glock 43x and have sunk a little dough into it Overwatch Precision trigger, night sights etc. I'm now wanting to give a red dot a try. I'm thinking about having the slide milled rather than purchasing a new 43x MOE. That way I don't have the added expense of buying a second gun and a second trigger. Do you all recommend buying a pre-milled slide? Or shipping the slide off to be milled? Do you have recommendations of shops/brands for either?

Send it to jagerwerks, I’ve had 2 glocks milled from them and they’re perfect. Fit and finish is awesome. Great guys.

What magwell is that. Looks pretty good. Enough to do its job and not be obtrusive.

Got my 17 slide back from milling/cerakote and put it together. Still want to add a Zev trigger at some point.

What are the pros/cons of the Iron Sights relocated to in front of a Red Dot? I see that as an option. On a G17 for example..

I did irons in front on my g19 since I appendix carry with. I see the dot first when I draw which I like but can still see the iron clearly if for some reason the dot stopped working.

On my g17 I did irons behind the dot, ready to read me contradict myself? I still see the dot first when I draw because that’s what my eye is looking for. And the irons are still just as easy to see if the dot wasn’t working.

I shoot a lot with both pistols so I don’t notice a difference and can’t say I’d recommend one over the other. Just my .02 cents though hopefully someone with better knowledge will chime in.

I guess the idea is an unobstructed sight picture, but I don't notice any difference either. Looks proper on the rear too.
