No A/C, no intermittent wipers, and an AM radio...

An elderly woman special ordered this new back in 1985, and managed to put only 4,000 miles on it in that time. You will see in the pictures that the car has a Delco stereo cassette (which the owner says came with the car when he bought it), but the window sticker says it had an AM radio, so somebody probably added the tape deck sometime between 1985 and 2006...

I got into a fender bender with one when I was young, was not a fun situation. My Dad bought the Pontiac version, maybe a Phoenix if memory serves. I begged and pleaded with him not to buy it because l was afraid it would be complete garbage, unfortunately I was correct and he had to ditch it after a year or two.

The original owner only managed to put 4,000 miles on the car in twenty years, but the current owner actually drove it, and it now has almost 78K miles (still very low for 37-year old car)!

The car originally had a 2-speaker AM radio, but this Delco AM/FM cassette was installed prior to the current owner acquire the car; My dad's 1993 S-10 Blazer has this same radio...

I do like that red truck next to it!!!

As for the Citation...good car to catch some air in. Thinking that one could get 4' under the tires.

I'd put a 3800 Series II in it and build a sleeper!

My dad had a 84 in light blue, drove that many a time. His had an AM only radio, the weird part is it was mounted sideways in that year. Wonder if the steering still works right in this one..

Correct, the Phoenix was the Pontiac counterpart.

I still fondly remember my dad's 84. Thing went to 175K and the head gasket went. Still sounded mint though.

My grandmother had one of those. It was silver over grey. It was the first car I remember seeing cruise control in. My Aunt had a blue Chevette.

Yeah but that's base model packing. The sticker says it comes with a 4 speed manual too but they opted for the $425 upcharge to go with the auto. Power brakes were an option too.

Have you ever driven a vehicle without power brakes? It's interesting to say the least. We had a Scout II that had no power steering or brakes. The steering wheel was huge.
