Speaking of Rivian... good old IFS problems regardless.

i am at a loss as to how the designer(s) of the rivian could settle on that front end. if that were presented to me in the design/development stage for review and comment, i'd toss it back in two seconds and say try again.

If you talked to them you might get a sense of why. From what ive read i believe the goal was to be different any other need was secondary

    Just watched this.

It's almost like 900 ft*lb of instant torque on uneven terrain is not a good idea. Where it was destroyed isn't even a tricky spot. A CRV would tackle that with ease.

Thanks @cowfootball. I've read much of the same information and I think us "idiots" need to stick together and compare notes every now and again. I for one have no agenda but little EV experience of my own; so I ask.

As an engineer I'm familiar with the science and math and the games that can become the models and simulations that produce the numbers, results, and stories. I know you may find this hard to believe but every now and then it may be that money and politics become part of the equation and the next thing that happens is as an individual you begin to wonder about being "influenced" or "herded"...

Sounds like you have been an informed buyer and experienced daily user of EV's and I for one believe the best validation of science and math is often to talk with and share the experience of well informed user communities.

I for one appreciate your candid practical experience. Thank YOU!

Taco’s front end is too machismo, and the Rivian’s is too soulless robot, the rest of the body on both are fine. Like the interior on the Rivian better, much cleaner…but don’t hate the Tacoma’s. Too bad the Rivian doesn’t come in extra cab 6’ bed….find those 5’ beds utterly useless.

They did have a prototype though.

Could have something to do with how the 99% of market, that will never do serious off-roading.

You do know how forums work right? I may have been behind the discussion as I was getting caught up and replied to your previous posts as I read them. Context was completely understood....

Being a troll is talking shit (your comment about my speed and MPG) that has zero relevance to the actual topic and then complaining when someone responds to posts you made on a public forum.

GTFOH with your "outrage" and condescension
