3rd gen Front Diff Actuator Problems

    is this leaky, shorting ADD issue limited to specific model years (2018 to 2020)?

    2nd and 3rd gens at a minimum have basically used same actuator with very cheesy piece of tubing that is easily broken, cracked, pulled free, etc.
    The actuator seems like it would be fine if it were not for the tubing install they used

    Had the same problem with water getting in the actuator.
    Replaced with AISIN SAT-017 OE Replacement (link below)

    I took the new one apart and the connections were spot tacked on the motor and other connection.
    I applied some dielectric grease to prevent corrosion and reassembled.
    Installed in the truck and 4x4 is working great.

    I would reccomend that if you still have the stock actuator to solder the contacts and check the breather hose.
    The stock breather hose is known to let water in and is what caused my problems.
