    If anyone is interested.

Hughson Tire has a set of lighly used 285/70R17 BFG Ko2s for 700 bucks.

They came off the shop owner's truck after about 3000 miles. I know him personally, he's a legit dude. If he says 3K miles, it's true.

No wheeling. Only fuckery is my dog asking me when the hell she’s going to go camping.

Didn't go camping this weekend... but got a few things done.

Mounted the Patagonias and got them on the truck. Rear is 100% clearanced, I didn't get the fronts tubbed, and cleared. I was hoping it will be cooler next weekend, but looking at the forecast, that's not going to happen.

    20220723_141355.jpg

On the road, they run fine. I only rub at full lock. So we took a trip yesterday to Coursegold to go shooting. Overall, I have to say so far these tires are AWESOME. I think they are about the quietest tires I've had on the truck, and they ride extremely nice. I'll reserve final judgement till I've had them aired down and put through a full trip. But right now I'm really happy with them.

Other benefits = My speedo is way closer to accurate. With 5.29s and 33s my speedo was, like, 20 mph off at 55. Now its only just over 5mph off at 55. My RPMs are way better now too. I'm right at 2500 at 70 mph. I was at around 3000 at 70 mph.

Shooting was fun. How many people can say they hung out with their ex wife and her boyfriend at the shooting club all day long LMAO.

When I was up there this last weekend I walked the lion but area and followed the blue arrows where I thought I could go without an experienced spotter. There is a lot of cool stuff to play on there.

Did you follow all the blue arrows up to the top? That was the course without the bypass. The bypass was the road all the way to the left side of Lion's Butt looking up from the bottom.

No, not all the arrows, just some of them, and then just picked some lines on some of the rock formations to see the limits of the truck, departure, breakover, etc...

Corral Hollow last weekend with @TacoEspecial @71tattooguy and few others. The weather was perfect on Friday and Saturday, but the smoke came in heavy on Sunday.

    Nice pics!

I was thinking about taking a motorcycle ride on Friday and camp somewhere off 108. Saturday ride to 395 and go north to Rt 4 and camp somewhere along there. But looks super smokey.
I might go further south somewhere...maybe down by Bald Mountain area.
I just replaced my smooth street tires with slightly agressive (70%pavement, 30% dirt) tires.

    Perfect, thanks!
I've been using purple air but that just shows air quality.

I was going to write this up as a story or trip report or whatever, but... you know what? I'm tired after almost 2,600 miles of driving, and images speak louder than words anyway, so I'm keeping it short: I had some awesome times in Colorado with @bot102, @Littles, @YamaDirtrider, and @Red Baron and on the drive back through Utah. Hope to see you all again in the not too distant future.
