Good morning PA. I am going to try to mow the lawn today - if I can get motivated. It looks like a great day for it.

Hey all Morning! I was up in West Chester PA this past weekend and I have to say....not many other tacos out there! Regardless, it was nice to see the ole area and even stop in for a bagel and hoagie. Life is good when you can visit friends and eat good food.

Last night I found out my boss fired my buddy. Worse part my boss had him working on his house then at the end of the day yesterday he fired him. No warnings. I mean i did tell my buddy 2 weeks ago to start looking for a new job. I was pretty positive he was gonna get fired just didn't know when.
Boss was making up excuses why he wanted to fire all of the excuses were bullshit literally. I just don't think my boss liked him. But I feel like shit cuz I'm the one that got him the job. Now he's out of a job with 2 kids and his wife has cancer.
    I feel horrible about it.
Ok rant over back to work

Deal with your boss firing the guy sucks. Been on both sides of that deal myself. Helped a young guy I knew get a job where I used to work and still have good connections and reputation. Not sure of all the details but the young man got pissed off over something and just walked out then never went back. Don't blame my old job for canning him after being a no call, no show for days. More upset with him for his poor handling of the situation. My old boss actually reached out to me to try and find out what had happened. I try to steer clear of bringing in friends now to jobs. Seems it rarely works out for both sides at the same time and not worth losing either friends or jobs because of it.

I'm also very selective about this because it's your reputation on the line. I learned the hard way that many people are just simply Dbags and think more highly of themselves than they really are. Oh....that's most of America! lol

We're in the same boat of looking for good help. Short at least one machinist, CNC and manual work. Could use at least 1 or 2 mechanics, hydraulic cylinder type. Need a shipping/receiving person who can operate saws to cut material and do some painting and light carpentry work, building shipping crates. Small family owned shop with the good and bad that comes with that sort of deal. Almost exclusively day shift though.

I talked to my buddy earlier. He landed a new job start on Thursday. It's unfortunate he was a great worker. The boss just didn't like him never had a good reason why. Everyone else liked him including customers. The boss was just too much into his ego I guess. Who knows.

Me too. Hopefully it works out for him. He's happy that the new job pays weekly. I'm paid bi weekly. It sucks but it's not the first job I've had that's paid that way.

Hardly broke sweat today. It was partly sunny to mostly cloudy. RIP Joe DeNardo.

I agree; while I like the heat it was nice to not sweat my ass off and have to use sunscreen just to mow the lawn today. Looks like pop up rain showers a lot of the rest of the week too!

Good morning PA. I ran to the Giant Eagle in the misty rain when it first opened, hoping it wouldn't be too crowded. I much prefer to shop in an empty store.
