Not too too bad but buried a broken drill bit in my hand. Luckily I didn’t hit anything serious. The bit came out with some meat left on it. Just a tetanus shot and good to go

    I might as well contribute.
Not nearly as horrifying as a lot of content in here, but a little over a year ago I broke my collarbone riding my BMX bike.
I was about to hit a dirt jump. As I was riding towards the lip I saw a divot in the ground so I swerved around it. I thought I might still have enough speed to make it so I went for it anyway. I definitely did not have the speed and got thrown into a nosedive, cased my front wheel and went straight to my shoulder and head. My body completely missed the landing and went straight to flat.

Got up, did a pat down to make sure all is good. Everything seemed fine, then I realized I should check my collarbone. Sure enough there was a spot missing where the bone should have been. Surgery 4 days later for a titanium plate and screws. Still have a lot of numbness.

Interestingly they didn’t use stitches to patch me up after surgery. They used a zip tie contraption that was pretty neat. Basically it was a rectangle of medical tape with the center removed and zip ties going across to pinch it closed.

The last pic is a few weeks post surgery.

It's not bad at all but I bent over to pick up something yesterday and hit a piece of steel pipe on the way down.

Not by choice. Appendix burst and had to have emergency surgery. Not the first time my belly button has been cut thru; I’ve had two tumors removed thru the belly button.

Razor knife. I built a cupola for my dad’s shed and was wrapping the saddle in aluminum trim. I was scoring the backsides of each corner to get a nice bend; on the last one I’d just replaced the blade. Pulling the blade up while holding the corner; blade slid thru the metal and into my arm. My parents live out in the sticks so mom wrapped it as best she could and dad and I went to the emergency room 45 minutes away.

Jammed a piece of wire 3/4 if the way up under my finger nail at work today. Had a buddy yank it out with pliers but the company sent me for a tetanus shot anyway. Probably for the best. I can see why they call that torture.

To me, seeing that hurts more than seeing the finger cut off.....

Dumbass...... I remember as a kid my dad told me if a shark spins or thrashes, drop it and let it settle down and to always use pliers to get the hook.

Jumped down off a levee while duck hunting right on a nail. Doesn’t look as bad but definitely hurt worse - especially hiking all the way out then the doc pulling parts of sock out of my foot with tweezers.

Cut my hand open by gently bumping it into a piece of calendared steel (razor edge). I'm now part of the safety PowerPoint at my work.
