I have the KTJO grab handle. It’s the same size and dimensions as the passenger side handle so you hop into the passenger side and take a look. It definitely blocks a small portion of the windshield but not so much that it’s a safety issue. It’s sturdy and can easily handle putting your weight on it. However, the fit and finish aren’t great and you’ll see and feel it, even if your passengers can’t. But that’s the case with most A/M mods.

I've had the KTJO handle for close to a year and a half. It's pretty similar to the factory passenger side handle, but up close you can tell it's a little different. Installation was a pain. The hardest thing about it was the bolt holes weren't quite lined up with the factory mounting points, so it took some slight and careful adjustment. It hasn't really affected my visibility, other than just noticing it being there for the first week or so. Hope this helps

For the Tacoma it places the U bolts facing up instead of down under the axle. It's just a way to prevent the bolts from getting banged up off road. I have never had a truck/jeep that had them pointing down so it was always a little odd for me. It's also a super easy install.

    You go from this

To this, there is more that was done here but, you get the idea.

Go for the KTJO grab handle. I use it hoist my 190lb fat ass everytime I get in. The bolt caps could be a little better but they're okay.

The problem everyone has is lining up the bolts, it can be a pain! I found the problem to be that the A pillar cover is to wide, it pushes against the windsheild which won't allow the 2nd bolt to line up.

I fixed this by snugging down one bolt then using a sharpie held flat against the windsheild I scribed a line alond the edge of the A pillar cover. Took my rotozip along the line removing the sharpie line, about 3/16 to 1/4 inch. Put the cover back on and the bolts lined up perfectly.

Checked to see how aggressive of a CMC I’ll have to do when I switch to 315/75r16 :D

Honestly it has a bit of room with the 285/75r16 I have now. I don’t rub even when fully flexed out.

I’m hoping I get away with an aggressive CMC and not have to do a relocation.

    Between yesterday and today

    1) Tacogarage DMM install with a diy belkin MagSafe mount. I know they make one now but I used this one previously in my crosstrek and I like the design more. There’s an extra little magnet below the ring of the MagSafe magnet that seems to keep it more secure.

I also ran a usb cable that I tapped into the cigarette lighter and hid all the cables behind the trim and dash.

    2) Installed a wireless CarPlay controller from Amazon. Seems to be working well so far.

    3) Installed the DDI seat jackers on the passenger side seat.

    4) Threw some amber laminX film over the stock fog lights to see if I like the amber look moving forward with my lighting plans. (cheap experiment that can be removed)

    5) took a picture for the gram and TW

I have the sneaky suspicion that the left-side A-pillar from 2015 will fit a 2016, thus a 2022. Is that crazy? And I'm thinking the handle for the right-side can also be used on the left.

Yeah, I was thinking perhaps underneath the plastic garnish at the top of the driver's door (parallel to the cabin floor) may have some bolt holes. I am thinking of taking a peak when I get the truck. Someone somewhere else just put a bolt through a strap with two eyelets and connects to the upper hole in the A-pillar. That might be an option as well.
