I go up and down the mountains too much for a 4 banger. I had a 4 banger truck around here once and it just didn't cut it

I've been trying to drive it more to work as the 3rd gen already has 20K on it in a short amount of time. But, the fuel mileage isn't as good on the second gen. So, since I only work 4 days a week I try and take each truck 2 days a week.

It really depends on the type of noise.

Dash rattles I ignore the grinding and belt squealing get checked as fast as I can get pulled off the road safe.

I am pretty much more focused on smells then sounds I pick up on coolant and burning brake or clutch lining or burning oil.

The smell of gear oil . I have had people tell me synthetic gear oil has no smell and makes quite a mess before spotted.

I can tell ya synthetic gear oil smells just as rank as the regular stuff! This also goes for industrial stuff. I almost gag draining a failed power roller that takes up to 10 gallons of special synthetic gear oil. Sometimes if the back door is open and the wind blows in we'll get calls on the radio of a "gas smell"....

Have your vehicle break on the Lower level of the George Washington Bridge going south at Rush hour will cure the habit in a heart beat.

So many places on I 95 that are so fun to be stuck.

I wonder different manufacture Who knows I have had people tell me strange things.

I guess I need to get some to add to my known smells list.

Or catalyzed fiberglass resin either... :anonymous::anonymous:

Getting either in your beard is worse.

The aftermath of the mixed fiberglass resin was one of the few times my beard was removed.
