Heres the deal, the other night i got into a little fender bender in a parking lot (minimal damage thank god) and now im looking into getting a basket and aux reverse lights. This is the sticky situation though; currently on my leer topper i drilled and mounted my yakima towers straight to the topper so they cant be moved. Is there any sort of basket that could be mounted on bars that are 31" apart or do i need to built one myself?

    Thanks for the input
    Ben

My basket would fit if my bars were 31" apart. Mine are only 29" apart but the actual basket mount gives you 3" margin as well and I'm not maxed out there. I have an older Thule moab basket, I don't think you would have trouble mounting this to the round bar style yakima bar either. [IMG]

    Why not??? Look how big it is! 52” x 48” x 6.5”.

You think something custom will be cheaper?

BUT, the basket can go on wider bar set... I think it would lower the payload in the basket though not having the bracing in the middle, but it would work.
