Anyway, the tl;dr is - R1T - if you have plugs and you want something to get you to the mountain and back, cool. If you're okay with twice the cost of a taco, of course. It'll crawl fine too, assuming the operator isn't stupid. range sucks when towing (like all EVs). Doesn't have a full size bed like the lightning or the v2h option.

    Basically, resort town fancypants rig.

They’re like the new Defender. Still super capable off-road and for moderate work duty but not focused on actually being an off-roader or worker.

Even if the Rivian had a working beer tap on the front...still NO!

Nah, just weird how people make self-assured statements like "nobody is addressing this" when there are a whole lot of people addressing this. Funny, all this internet access yet zero research done. It would answer your musing about uranium regulation, too.

100% support fail safe Thorium reactors. Because, strangely enough, technology has advanced.

Nah, I prefer old school RBMK reactors like Chernobyl, those have aged well! Oh and placing back up power generators in the basement behind a sea wall like the Japanese plant in Fukishima. I think it’ll be fine.!

I'm all for green energy but at the moment it sjust a special interest money making scam

LOL, so advanced that all of our power plants are still basically steam powered generators..

Interesting point, I need to better understand Thorium reactors.

No musing about U.S.uranium production, I assume it is defunct but chose to not make a definitive statement— up front statement “I don’t know”.

Since you seem to be well researched on the subject perhaps you could enlighten us on all current active mining claims, currently active mills producing yellow cake, tons of ore mined, yellow cake production milled. Status of reclamation for uranium mills, mines etc. if you need some help in what to update us on I point you to Uravan, Colorado; The Deremo-Snyder mine near Dove Creek Colorado; Uranium mining and milling at the Gas Hills in Wyoming; a small operation in Maybell Colorado. The super site clean up in Moab Utah.

so I concede… I didn’t research the internet but do take from my personal life experience.

I also stand by my statement there is no one presenting a long term (50+ year) end to end plan

A rivian was turning right onto a 60MPH free way from a stop light earlier today. There was a car coming from the left and they pulled out fast. Pretty sure it would’ve been an accident if it was a gasoline or diesel powered car. They have 835hp. I did hear a clicking noise from his driveline or something when he first gunned it though. Hehe.

I had a great rant to post here, but decided against it. Would most likely have gotten me banned, so I'll let someone else step into that hole. But the problems of recycling these toxic by products of Green Energy will have to be addressed one day.

I have done some work for them at their Plymouth location here in Michigan. Very hipster office, but a cool facility.

I like where all the trucks are going. There is some cool stuff going on!

One company makes a monster, then the next company makes a more monstrous monster. Then some upstart shows up and blows the doors off of everyone with a truck that looks like a Pokemon.
Meanwhile the next company makes their normal truck perform like the first monster. And the cycle continues!
