Humans themselves are inherently horrible for the environment…endless issues we aren’t even handling now, highly doubtful recycling ev products will be resolved. My wife used to work for e-recycling company, basically just a feel good scam as it is immensely toxic. Best thing for the Earth is for us to go extinct. No amount of technology will save the planet.

That's why we need to find other planets! I think other livable planets do exist.

    Agreed.

I love the thought of EV, and the execution thus far of EV. I wish the entire planet was powered by the damn sun. I have solar on my house, and my GF drives a Prius, where we constantly play the game of trying to see how long we can drive in EV mode before the engine kicks in.

I just get caught up in people referring to EV trucks as 'serious off-roaders' or giving them mythical powers when it comes to towing or their actual practicality in todays world on anything other than flat, paved roads in major metropolitan areas.

I know we have to start somewhere, and I am glad that we are. I like what lies ahead as this gets more and more flushed out. But I won't sit here and think a Rivian has any purpose driving down Lockhart Basin Road, or into Canyonlands NP, etc. They just aren't even close to being there yet.

Actually….the planet is powered by the sun, petroleum is stored solar energy. Not to mention everything else wouldn’t exist without it.

If you really think about it, oil is a terrible pollutant and it's polluting subterranean areas throughout the planet. It's our duty to cleanse the planet by bringing as much of that pollutant to the surface and burning it, so as to completely eradicate it from the planet!

Actually, turbo diesels are better for the environment then electrical vehicles, and it will stay that way until power plants are more green.

Also, not all of us have$100k lying around to buy a Rivian.

But thanks for trying to vilify all of us... That's really going to change hearts and minds.

I'm too old to feel threatened. I've just done the math on BTUs consumed to produce and operate an electric vehicle, and it's more harmful to the environment to use an EV... Particularly a Rivian with a larger battery and lower eMPG rating.

But seriously, if you want to affect change in people, try not attacking them.
