    take carpet to high pressure carwash and rinse it then hang on the fence for 2 days , put carpet fresh on it after it drys

    Good time to sound deaden the interior if you wanted. I'd pull those wires up along the doors and clean out the silt underneath.

    Yep, exactly what I did. I live in an extremely dry climate so I just left the carpet in the sun for about a day.

    Are they not all currently on high school summer break here? I did something similar when i was a senior getting an old jeep XJ stuck in a swamp for 3 days. However it was a $500 jeep and mostly just mud.

    I agree, looks like kids that certainly can't make the payments but DADDY does. Just ask DADDY for a new to go destroy.

    Imo, the carpet would be the least of the issues. Once water gets into a computer if not sealed well enough, all sorts of weird issues begin to happen. Eventually the truck won't run.

    I live in New Orleans and have swamped many cars over the years due to our street flooding.

    In my experience if things worked immediately after getting swamped then 90% of the time everything was fine in the end.

    The hardest thing to get rid of is the mold/smell. Getting everything cleaned and dried quickly are the best bet for that.

    Aside from that you won't know what's going to fail until it does. Things may glitch out as time passes. Deal with them as they pop up.

    Change all the fluids, check/dry/clean all the electrical connections, and dry out the cab and carpet. That's all you can really do. Time will tell.
