@Rod03 Hey man, do you mind checking 3TMCZ5AN4NM497102 for me again? Radio silence from my sales guy, it's over a week past delivery to the dealership. Any movement? Does it still say Estimated Dealer Arrival: Jul 14, 2022 - Jul 19, 2022? Thanks.

 

ETA still showing the same, but it has not move.

 

Was at the dealer today and saw a new MT DCSB Pro in the new Lime Green color. I stopped to have a gander at it and a guy comes up to me and asks if I want to see the inside. I thought he was a sales guy. Turns out he was the new owner. He told me he ordered it in November and it just came in yesterday 7/26. He was there today to pick it up.

 

I can’t wait to show random people my ELG Pro MT 11.5 months and counting. It will be built on the 8th. Fingers crossed

June 27th- Rail Departed from San Diego to Argentine Rail Yard (Kansas)
July 12th- Truck Arrived at railhead
July 15th- Truck Delivered to Dealership
July 16th- Truck Purchased

I just wanted to pop back into this thread to thank @Rod03 again, and re-iterate the wait was worth it! For me I only had to wait about 4 mo, as my local (MSRP) dealer was able to quickly secure allocation on the truck I wanted.

I want to give a special thank you to @Rod03 for patiently answering my 5 requests for status... and Rod, those beers are coming today as promised!

and to TJ Gardner at Gateway Toyota in New Jersey - who never gave up, kept up the communication, and ultimately honored the original hand-shake price from November 2021. The dealership even was honest and told me that if I don't buy it, they will refund my deposit and put a market adjustment on it.

That's honesty and customer service I didn't expect to find. Very happy customer.

Can the softopper fold completely into the bed so you can cover it with a tonneau cover?

No. But I bought it because I wanted the added space of a 'cap' while being able to fold the topper out of the way to haul loads/tow my motorcycles. For me, the softopper is exactly what I need.

EDIT: When folded down the topper sits above the bed, and the rails/brackets for the topper mounting would absolutely interfere with a tonneau.
