Headed down to the Silverton area to help out with the Hardrock 100. Friday I was helping setup the Engineer Pass aid station (yep, I was FORCED to do Engineer Pass as part of my volunteering).
Setting up a 30'x40' tarp was interesting (besides having to haul it from Engineer Pass down 1-2 miles to the race course).
And a quick stop at Animas Forks on the way back down (not many pictures on the way up because we had to get the aid station ready).

After my first day of volunteering up Engineer Pass, day to was another horrible assignment. I was the driver for people clearing the course, and the section I was driving required me to hit up Ophir Pass. As you can tell, this volunteering thing was a very selfless activity that I got nothing selfish out of. Roger (ended up with only one person sweeping the course) was amazing as he covered about 20 miles by foot, and I would guess around 6K feet of elevation gain in those 20 miles. But, the driving was really tough too...

And I thought the Badwater 135 was tough, but it’s much less elevation, only 14600’ … though I suppose most or even all of the Badwater is hotter.

Just got back from staying a few days in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and checked out Ocotillo Wells SVRA as well
Not the best time to go at all and did not take many truck pictures as it was 108+ degrees

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
More fishing and nice to have this lake to myself, but too damn hot for fishing. Not a good trend these recent summers.

Might have to leave the boat at home for a while and just spend the time exploring for new small fishing holes.

On Imogene, there are a lot of shelf roads and a few spots where you need to pick a good line, but overall its a great trail. There are other trails in the area if you want to build up to Imogine or Black Bear.
