Its a 12 x 24 machine so looking at around a 11 x 15 spot to fit the fixture. Was thinking like just a pc of 3/4 a36 would work and get the guys to cut me another in 1/4 to drill through.

lol. ok yeah that would be pretty rough. But I do like trains so that would be entertaining!

Ya know, We've had 1 customer do that.. fly in from another part of the state.. dropped his part off.. and flew bac home.. then flew back the next day to pick it up. Bossman literally walked over to the gate (technically we could open it up and go/drive out on the runway) and gave it to the guy like a plane drive-thru. lol

Nearest actual lake is about 45 minutes away. So this pond saves us a drive quite often

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
When you live or work by a Rail Road track unless the trains derail constantly they soon become just back ground.

Growing up under a Air traffic approach pattern big jets were common they also became just normal back ground noise.

Now living by the Gun Club only automatic weapons fire attracts my attention though it did take some getting used to those single shots in the wee hours .

It's typically not a good thing if you're having to vacuum rust out of your gearboxes... 06DD213C-54CA-4B81-A5AF-CFD6B9B0E5ED.jpg

Also a fun fact about some gearboxes that I've never run into before today. These ones can be mounted with the output shaft on the top or the bottom, and this means they have a fill plug on the top casting and the bottom, not on the sides. What we didn't know, and apparently neither did the guys before us, is that one plug has a breather hole. Depending on which orientation you mount the gearbox, you need to install that plug in the "top" and the other plug in the bottom. This goes against what the paperwork says, stating simply that it's a sealed gearbox and doesn't need to be opened unless something breaks. The reason the gearbox before this one failed, was because it was mounted with the breather plug on the bottom and it subsequently "breathed" all the oil out of it.

Nowhere in the paperwork given with the gear box does it say anything about this little feature. So unless you notice a puddle of oil on your workbench after filling it, (like I did) you'll easily have a ticking time bomb gearbox.

All these Rascals & many more had to be shrink wrapped to code before install. Very little in stock in North America so had to shop around. 1 roll was like 250lbs.

I HATE bad/poorly written instructions. That should be a warranty claim, irrespective of how long in service, or what disclaimers the manufacturer has made.
