I mean, I'd love to do the week of the 19th, but I'm being unrealistic.

If you guys stay until that weekend, I could probably come up there on Fri 23rd. I will likely not have class on Fridays this semester and the football game that week is on a Thursday so the weekend is free

List me as tentative. Lots of variables. I should probably see what travel time is? Do they have a campground? Or are you two using the hard-side tent?

Hard sided tent about 9 miles from the park. Or there are a couple hard sided tents available for rent on a lake about 15 miles out, that would be cool if more people come

That's a horrible idea. What time?
I think about the $$ spent and think the same thing. But then I probably wouldn't have wound up here.

I can't grab a whole week, but a day or two maybe. How much could my truck realistically do down there? Some of the trail descriptions sound like things I'm not built for.

    Likely Reality = I'm out
Idealistically = I WANNA GO TO URE...but probably should go with stock or close to stock rigs, can't hang with The Mule, BatTaco, DDDT's Heep, Nick's Tan-Tan-Taco, or Mean-Green-West-Virginny-Machine!!

I admit the "nick"name for Nick's taco was forced and lame...whereas Mark's just rolled right off the brain after I wrote Mule and BatTaco...now shut up and make one for mine!!!

All the typical silver oriented nicknames seem to blasé!!!

There will be more, this ones a little odd (from what I’m being told). So once I understand how it all works I’ll see if anyone wants to come watch from my press box on (this is what they actually call it) “red neck hill”.

We are sorting out the logistics. I’ve never been so don’t know what to expect, but cant imagine it being all super difficult trials.

If you want to go then you should go. From what @TaKoToy has told me, the trails are wide and offer a variety of options when obstacles arise.

I know @EatSleepTacos likely has play-by-play notes, unless I'm mixing up the AOAA and Rausch trips!

I figured there are ways to bypass, especially since it's an "actual" OHV oriented park! I'll mentioned the plan to Katelyn...might be able to come out for an overnight stay and a day or two on the trail.

I'm sure much of her perspective will hinge on how our family glamping trip goes in 3 weeks, i.e. how long we can actually make it in the camper with the 2.5yr old!!!!

Uwharrie isn’t anything crazy right now because they went through over winter and graded all the trails that they can. Most I was on you could do in a Honda Civic. The few exceptions are Daniel and Dickey bell or Dutch John, I get those two mixed up.

Going up Daniel is what I would consider the most difficult and the most fun.

Uwharrie is a great place for a large group ride because there’s a variety of difficulty of trails.
