Progress is to the 1:33 mark, thus far. I got the airbag out, just working on the glovebox screws around the perimeter next.

For the love of god, please tell me all the ECU module and 4x4 module plugs only fit in one place? You have to unplug everything to remove the ECU.

I have a better bench power supply and some better gator clips arriving later today, so I am hoping to make my own bench setup. I would welcome the opportunity to help the next poor soul who falls into this pit.

This saga is so captivating!! Feel bad for @reymataco's misfortune, but figure there might be a lesson in it for all of us.

Waiting patiently for culmination and positive outcome!

*Disclaimer: I still have yet to brick a truck in my time tuning and came solely to help a nice TW member that had unfortunately had a brick/aid in the bench flash process.

Tried stryker now and bricked again. Was connected to constant 13.5v so power was all good. Pulling ECU again for another bench flash then gonna flash the maggy for now.

Moments after the expensive paperweight came back to life lol

Thanks @dave82at for the harness and help!

Specifically which tune was reattempted for flash?

Following the initial bricking, I re-exported Matthew's files for good measure and sent them along, just in case an error had occurred upon export.

Since this is happening, I will have to reach out to Mat and inquire, because we have several customers on the same ECU ID/tune, and this has never occurred before. The only thing that changes from tune to tune is when the vehicle VIN gets assigned to a tune, followed by export of that file. Likely something has happened with one of the recent updates.

Congratulations @MGMSangTaco on never having bricked an ECU before but let's face it, it's an unnecessary and odd flex; this isn't a contest. It happens, and is a known risk. Just like when a bug was discovered on the 04A72 EROM files that required addressing by VFTuner.

Nonetheless, thank you for assisting Matthew.

No problem man, I am so unbelievably done with tune drama at this point and I’m not looking for a congrats, and not trying to “flex” (??) I just want to make it clear that I haven’t bricked one yet and don’t want to confuse potential clients I may have in the future with me trying to just help out a fellow TW member as many TW people have helped me with stuff before. I am genuinely curious why it wasn’t taking too and am just stating the facts.

Truck is running on maggy file now.

If/when I hear from Mat/VFTuner, I will report back with info, particularly if there's an error with exporting EROM files under the current VFTuner software version.

Which reminds me, some people on the latest version of VF are getting an error message that says "unable to decode file" and one of them reported confirmation from VFTuner of some sort of update error, so it sounds like an update to fix that should be expected.

The tunes I re-exported and sent as a follow up were not tried to confirm a consistent error with export, or that they resolved it?

The newest file you sent me was tried today and left the ECU in a bad state same as before with the first file.
