with scamazon. fuckers just hung up on me while on hold...let's see if they call back. I can't believe this shit.

 

This is getting good. Fuck Scamazon. They refuse to replace the item, say they can no longer supply or whatever. A refund is all they offer. So I brought up the extra battery and said they need to refund that as well. So now they are refunding the battery, at the full price, not the sale price, as well as the power station. I get to keep the battery and get an extra $100 back as well. I've been on the phone for an hour now..
If I apply for their silly little card, i can buy the station for $179.00, and still come out ahead.
fuckin pricks.

I originally paid $346.00 for the full order, I am getting $465.31 back and just got the email to confirm it.

 

Now that I've chilled out, gonna call UPS and see what they have to say, they were the shipper and the tracking says delayed, no other information available. Maybe the thing caught the truck on fire en route...

 

Seems like a solid deal to me.. round about way but still solid I think they just knew you hate Amazon and wanted to fuck with you

Holly shit. That storm that came through Lakewood at 10:30 was insane. I had water pouring through my basement windows and I have half an elm sitting on the house. What a wonderful evening.

More scamazon drama, But i think we have it handled now.
Received an email saying they were only refunding the power station but not the battery.
Had to deal with a customer myself while that gelled in the back of my mind.
Called customer service, was very polite and explained my situation. Lady this time was very helpful. She approved an instant gift card for $50, and credited my account another $50 to bring the price back down to $199. Then I applied for the card and got another $200 off the thing.
It'll be here Saturday (maybe) at the cost of $0.00.
And will be keeping the battery, but no refund on that.

 

He's gonna need a bigger truck. Already tried to lift them and it ain't happening.
He's out there cutting them up to a more manageable size. Or maybe making notches to get a grip.

that dude is having a real bad day. He almost had the smaller one cut in half and got the saw stuck. He beat the hell out of the stump with the crane until it let go of the chain, he reassembled the saw and now it's jammed up, runs but the chain no go.

 

Why didn't they just send another one instead of refunding and crediting you to just buy another at $0

 

I have no idea. They have a policy apparently about replacing items that are not carried by JB and the crew. They sell the things, but they don't stock them.
The lady I spoke with this time was very sympathetic and as confused as I was about the whole thing. She did the research and told me about the workaround with the card app, set up the coupon and then gave me the credit. She got 5 stars on her survey.
She was supposed to halt the refund on the battery as well, since I'm keeping it, but I just got an email saying that still being refunded due to lack of delivery. i have no idea what's going on.

 

Now they sent another email saying another refund has been issued for the 12v power socket that I wired into the camper...

I have had this happen before.. Basically the support person you talked to couldn't process a refund/credit on the actual order, so they just pick another order in good standing and use that.

Just ignore it and remember that you've got $86.14 back so far.

 

yup exactly this, couldn't refund item X so they picked a random item from history. had it happen when I purchased a CPU on sale
