If you’re happy with your truck, keep it. In another year or 2, the 4th generation Tacomas will be out.

At MSRP is not bad. If you want it, I would go for it. Not much to stabilize at that point. If anything they will just get more expensive.

    One promise I can make.

When the dealer calls you, it's in his best interest. Not yours.

If the truck has the options and color you really want and you can really afford it and the registration and insurance and gas for it then sure. You only live once. Just keep in mind that all new vehicles eventually become old and unwanted at some point.

I decided not too. I just pictured myself walking in with my truck and 9k cash for a similar truck. Thanks everyone

Agree with most said, however, the lack of keyless entry with fabric interior made me go from SR5 to a DCLB TRDOR. For a daily, Keyless entry is a boon.

You do you, but 35k for a used 2wd SR5 is a big number IMO.

seems normal. Makes 2.5K or more selling yours and 2.5K or more on the new sale. Business as usual.

I did think about that, and you are right but again I don’t need it I just want it. 9k is not small number either. Thanks for the reply

Whatever impacts there are in the future to the new truck prices, there will be, generally speaking, to your trade in value. Well, except your current vehicle will continue to depreciate.

If you don't take it someone else will. Your trade value is currently elevated, take advantage of that.
