Multiple Oregon dealers are doing this with their access cabs. Damian, GP, Beaverton, etc. No catch except for Beaverton as they will tack on their clear care crap to some. However, they will advertise it if they do.

Damian the last time they had access cabs in stock.

They even sell new double cab Tubdras well below msrp. Beaverton will do this as well.

I just paid MSRP on a 2022 SR5 DCSB Tacoma off the lot. The dealer started at $2k over MSRP, but I told him I wasn't going $0.01 over, and I walked on the deal. They texted me the next morning and we settled at MSRP, plus they came up a little on my trade. So, all-in-all I was happy with it. I am near Pittsburgh

I know its not a tacoma but just want to warn about Fred Haas toyota in Houston, Tx.

I recently ordered a Solar Octane TRD pro tundra and was told MSRP when I put down a nonrefundable deposit. Got my allocation yesterday and the price was sent over from my sales rep.
    upload_2022-7-27_17-2-12.jpg

Yes you read that right, 92K, 70k truck with a 22k markup. I was able to get my deposit back but had to get my lawyer to call.

So don't buy from these guys, they'll just fuck you over.

Keep seeing all these click bait YouTubers saying auto crash lol. Yet I see zero cars on lot and 22k markups and people paying over msrp for base tacomas

I've been helping a friend look for a new Tacoma throughout a handful of dealers in AZ but I've noticed that none of the new Tacoma's in allocation include the tech package. Most of the new allocations have a bunch of added accessories including the skid plate, etc. but again none show the tech package. Has anyone noticed this trend when shopping around recently?

I just purchased my first Tacoma. I have been looking for a few years and finally grabbed one. The prices have been crazy so I stayed away. I noticed Woburn, MA Toyota offering around $1,500 off sticker. Made a few calls and I snagged an access cab V6 4x4 SR w/ SX package from a different dealer. It stickered for about $35,351. I managed to negotiate $2,245 off the truck. Total cost before taxes and fees was $33,106. After fees and tax I managed to get the truck for not much more than the sticker price which I was pretty happy about. Excited for my first Tacoma, I plan on keeping it a long time as I have a another vehicle.

Nicely done. I couldn’t get Woburn Toyota to budge off 5K over MSRP for a 22 Off Road. It’s been on their lot for over a week

I bought a new Toyota sr5 4x4 from Woburn in 1983. Haggles them down to $9700 OTD lol. That barely covers my tax and fees out here in Arizona.

December-April will be the months we see the auto-apocalypse begin. Auctions are packed as we speak, banks are in a panic and are slowly trickling the supply of used cars into the market because they know if they let the flood gates open prices will crash $5k-10k overnight on used cars and demand for new will drop accordingly. It's begun already, most used Tacoma's are dropping $2-3k since last month already.

Wait for the bailout and it will take years to repo cars. My brother drove his gmc 2500 for almost 2 years making no payments before his buddy bought it from gmc for about 30 percent less. They just keep adding on payments at the end

Thanks, it looks like they weren't budging on any quad cab models. The salesman eluded there was ALOT of SR access cabs being shipped to dealers.

My local dealers on the opposite coast seem to have quite a few access cabs, sales guy told me they might even be able to drop it down below MSRP.

There were a few dealers I contacted that *initially* advertised a price at or near sticker, but if you dug a little you found out pretty quickly they tacked on thousands of dollars of garbage they wouldn't budge on.

I *believe* I've got a line on a deal at sticker, but still awaiting a few details.

500 under MSRP, no add ons for my 22 DCSB Sport that I picked up today. Excellent trade in value. Easiest deal Ive ever done. Kenosha Toyota.

This is different than 08' and economists have since studied the damage from bailing out GM and Chrysler and it's not something that any current or future president will touch with a 10 foot pole.

Folks who actually have personal finance training aren't going to ruin their credit by stopping paying for their cars, they are going to sell them to a dealer, that dealer or the bank that owns the title is going to want to get paid, no one is giving them a bailout, the only way they get paid is by dropping the prices on their cars at auction. As used cars become more and more in abundance on dealer lots, you'll start seeing people buying used instead of new again, which will wipe out the price adjustment market, we will see manufacturers introducing big incentives and selling below MSRP again. Forecasts put December as the month of doom for the used car market and given that prices are dropping 1-1.5% per week for the past two months, I definitely believe it.

I don't expect our trucks to fall in price drastically as Tacoma's historically hold their value really well and there is something like 9000 total vehicles available for sale across all Toyota dealers, so I think we're good but folks who just paid $20k over sticker for their F150 or Silverado are going to be feeling stupid in a year.

I feel stupid already for celebrating getting my truck for $2750 off MSRP because what am I celebrating really? That I got 2019 pricing? Stupid no matter how you look at it.

So, my dealership quoted me MSRP, or 46,050 for everything.

I get to the dealership on delivery day and do the paperwork, their paper total is 46,200.
"What's up with the extra $150?" I ask their finance guy
"Oh there are always some minor fluctuations..."

    :der:

Screw it, I waited this long I don't want $150 difference to screw me over now...

My new 4runner pro supposed to be here on 08/15 at the lastest. Sitting in long beach with last movement 8/11 and 1 mile. I am assuming the 1 mile was getting it off the boat which I am assuming means it hasn't even gone thru the accessories add ons. What's the hold up?

The hold up…That is the story of our lives. Wish there was true answer to that question. There are so many reasons for what is holding up these vehicles
