Uhh, more like only using 15 watts to light the bulb instead of 60 watts.

I have also given the banks a stupid amount of money in my younger days...4 new motorcycles in 3 years, all of which were 100% financed, with balance from the previous one rolled into the loan on the new one. 3 of them had 5 figure price tags.

Finally got out of the live beyond your means type of consumerism that is expected and it totally changes life. I love my Tacoma, but my status symbol is now my 20 year old CRV that I bought for less then $3k a few years ago. I will never pay interest again except on my mortgage. I also have had contractors sporadically give me a discount when I hand them a wad of cash for their work. Had my roof replaced and the whole crew's eyes lit up as the boss paid them on the spot, then we all had a round of Jagermeister in my yard. Hopefully made a good memory for those guys.

Exactly the same for me. I'd be all for a PHEV Tacoma if it had some of the performance and MPG benefits of an EV

This Walmart employee plowed into this Rivian R1T with the shopping carts and didn’t say anything to anyone. Luckily it was recorded on the “Gear Guard” (equivalent to Tesla’s “Sentry Mode”) and Walmart is covering all costs.

Before you ask, “If they can afford a Rivian, why were they at Walmart?” most likely it was because that is where many Electrified America charging stations are and they were charging.

A very large portion of Home Depot buys can be brought home on a trailer pulled by most all vehicles.

Or delivered. Or better yet pay someone else to do it.

Grew up in a construction….beyond over it. It was a little weird watching someone else do the work I would normally do laying in hammock sipping lemonade, but I got over it. lol!

It’s hard to find good work. I find myself micro managing because their standard is much lower.

It is, just need some patience. We just had a new sewer line put in last fall, was going to rent an excavator and do it all myself. Found a plumbing company that were excellent, was really impressed. My family was shocked I let someone else do the work. Writing a check was so much easier than beating the shit out of myself.

I wouldn't admit to seeing a truck that ugly. :D

Who would want to hang out in a Walmart parking lot just to charge their shitbox EV?

One way I can see that it's not better than the Tacoma is the Refuel time. Which is a deal breaker for me unfortunately. I can Refuel my Tacoma in less than 5 minutes at pretty much every town.

If you're driving you're truck around town within range of your home charging station then that's ideal, but if you have children and travel long distance or tow at all with your vehicle it seems almost like a safety liability. until they have tow through charging stations and quite frankly many more charging stations and much quicker charging rates I will be holding off.

I love my Tacoma, but it could be better. 300hp/300tq and 2000 lbs payload for starters would be nice. Tend to load the shit out of mine, kinda sucks I have to watch the weight…it is what is. At least towing capacity isn’t too bad.

Specs on the Rivian are fricken impressive.

Of course we do have quite the Lego collection, and most people I have seen who play with train sets are senior citizens. Hell, there are a couple of those 1/8 scale rideable train sets here in “manly men tough guy” Idaho on people’s property.
