Lunchtime bourbon hunt went okay.

Store 1 - nothing
Store 2 - $135 Kentucky Owl Confiscated X 1 bottle behind the counter and $600 18YR Whistlepig X 2 bottles in the case. Too rich for my blood.
Store 3 - nothing but I did pick up an Old Tub at the suggestion of @jandrews
Store 4 - nothing
Store 5 - Had about 8 bottles of Eagle Rare so I grabbed one and I also got a bottle of Bakers since I’ve never tried it. There was Basil Hayden Toast at the last store too which the clerk said he’d heard good things about. Maybe next time, I’ve never tried Basil Hayden’s.

 

Please report on the Baker’s.

Hmm, interesting review. As the author said, for the price if I don’t like it then it becomes cocktails. If I do I may go buy a few more at that price point.

For the longest time only the "Premium" FWGS would get Eagle Rare. But the closest to me is not a Premium, and they started get them in recently.

 

But it's super premium! Its rare!

 

I paid $10 more for the bottle I got this morning.

Last time I finished an ER, the last pour was exquisite. It had sat on the shelf for a few months. It was delicious and sweet…

 

Nice, this bottle was opened maybe a month or so ago? Granted I had a buddy put a good dent in it with me…Still delicious

 

I have just one bottle of ER as well, and I’m cherishing it.
