Texas Pete extra hot is my favorite go to. I’ve always been a Tabasco fan and there sriracha is on par with the og cock sauce. Not a fan of franks, too mild.

Not too long with social media exposing its beauty. Transplants trying to change peoples way of life out there. Big example is Asheville. Cool town but no one is really from there.

I have a free day coming up and was looking for a day trip to do but it’s been too hot for any of the usual outdoor stuff, so I might try this. Thanks for throwing the recommendation out there.

You know, when I was younger, I had a friend that was in the Nav, and he would put squeeze cheese in his, cup-o-noodles (thanks to the Mandella effect, some of you might question the name), and nearly the whole can! I tried it. Gross. This was 1981.

But It makes me wonder with you saying Korea, if American's didn't actually take this technique to Asia. Here's my .02 on it.....

Obviously ramen originated in Japan but it wasn't Cup-O-Noodles until testing it out in the USA............

Is cheese even a food in Asia? Is like asking was soy a thing in old Europe. The answer was, is no.

Actually, cheese is considered uncouth and barbaric and so is eating while walking (cup noodles) in Asian culture.

So while you may have learned it in Korea, your teachers teacher may have been your childhood teacher. Deep

Oh and yea, cooking, I'm in! :duel:

Damn that's freaking awesome Darin! If that's all that comes out of it, you've won. Any more is a bonus. I'm a cynical fuk though so I say stay clear of any free moving/storage offers

But seriously, see, some people have the shit job of reading and handling complaints and this one seems to want to do it well. Like you said, "we'll see" but I won't be surprised if at the very least there is a formal apology.

I still can't believe you didn't Karate Chop him, more than once too.

On average, 10 degrees cooler here than in Baltimore City, but can be as much as 15 less here.

Likewise, winter downtown is brutal at times with the wind off the harbor. While up here it's not.

4WP has some great, albeit limited, sales on certain things but in general, most are like you say, insulting. I suppose if I were buying a million dollars worth of crap then that additional 4% would just be the hookers & blow money stash. With all those mods you're going to need a happy, alert workforce to swap them out all the time.

Took the rig to one of those drive through car wash spots today and went to take some photos afterwards. Sure glad I did, because I discovered that my passenger side headlight is burned out. Sucks because I just put them in back in February of this year! They were cheap Hella halogens. Now begins the search for my next set of bulbs. Contemplating going back to LED’s but I don’t think I will. I like the halogen look on the older rigs.

I'm unsure how long in time your research went back, but Key's Place, just outside the back gate of Camp Carroll was cheese-heaven. Maybe he did that catering to the Soldiers? But it stuck with me and now I'm the only MF'er in my circle who enjoys it that way. Of course, my personal experience was back in the 1900s, so things may have changed.

Ya know, it took a lot of effort to re-focus on the most-important task - getting my shit. I was on an an emotional jihad and tried to keep things level. And if this move was even 30% less expensive than other quotes I'd have been happy...but it wasn't. :-( I'm unwilling to move again unless it's a paid PCS. Wasn't just the movers - this whole move has been a wake-up call in a way. The $20k/year raise I got by taking the job evaporates into $7800/year take-home thanks in part to the state and their money-stealing ways. Cost of living increase make this still a net loss compared to living in OKC. At least two good things though - first, my retirement is based on my gross salary, so this helps - and i got the pay grade promotion enabling me to take higher grades from here on, after one year at this grade. So- i'll make the best of it. Life is still happy.

    Sooo funny story time.

In 2010 one of my best friends got married. He was notorious for pranks on his friends while they were on their honeymoon.

So his wife walks up to me and says we are not allowed to do this and the maid of honor is not going to give me the key.

Then it shift to some rules, like leave her cans in the kitchen alone.

Being the kind friend I am, and the maid of honor sliding me the key, I decide we should feed this couple for a year.... but I aint made of money. I do have a Costco membership and $100.

Did you know, at the time, for $75 you could buy 750 packets of Ramen. We also bought 3 large side cans of fruit salad and some veggies. A few flats of veggies and goldfish crackers.

Me and some friend also go to home depot and buy painters tarps.

We removed the labels from all the cans we bought (They werent my friend's wife's) and then loaded ramen into every cabinet, piano, piano bench, air conditior, dryer, and any other space we could find. Load in all the cans and build a Dexter style kill room in their bedroom (My friend just finished all of Dexter that was out at the time). Cover the bath tub with more of the tarp and then load in gold fish crackers and Swedish fish.

I get some rubber gloves and wrap their key in it and then pop in the glove box of my Toyota Matrix.

I pick them up from their Hawaaiin Honeymoon. Quickly unload my car in front of their apartment. Say hey oh yeah, here is the key I got to go... and speed off before they get in.

They have the a sense of humor about it, ate a ton of it.

I also got mailed ramen for years....

All of the Ramen talk was such a coincidence as I was preparing just such a culinary masterpiece for dinner tonight. My go-to recipe is Ramens, whatever style of frozen veggies that I have on hand, pulled rotisserie chicken chunks, Thai soup stock, a dab of Thai chili paste ( the green stuff, it will make your nose drip) and an egg stirred in just before it's ready to serve. Tonight I found some baby scallops in the freezer, they're in the soup too!

My GF got me a pack of these as a gag X-mas gift after we watched an episode of the "Irish Try" channel when they all ate this Ramen and they all couldn't handle the heat. Sissies! It's not really hot to me, just a lingering chili oil type of burn. Meh...

I don't pat myself on the back too often, but I will say that this isn't bad. :hungry:

So I get off early today, 1700 to be exact. Send me the address and I’ll be there for dinner tonight. This looks heavenly!!!

That ramen is particularly good. The sauce that comes with it is super hot. But this, this is it. This looks phenomenal. How’s that Thai soup stock? Spicy? I love Thai food
