Invest in precious metals, AR15's, ammo and suppressors etc. I can guarantee it will increase 10 to 25% over the next 2 years.

Well that explains the GDP contraction.

So the markets shrugged off the rate hike and GDP.
What better way to fight inflation, raise taxes on
high earners and big corporations! o_O
Last time I checked shit still rolled down hill.

If you divide out the split, yah, lowest volume ever. So tomato, tomatoh.

As for the splividend, if you had shares directly registered in your name, you received additional real shares. If you had shares in a major brokerage (Fidelity, Schwab, Vanguard, etc) you maybe got real shares. If you're in a CFD brokerage, (RH, Etoro, Webull, etc) you got IOUs and a ledger adjustment. No real shares.

    Keeping it economic:

The wealthy do not account for a disproportionately large amount of spending that contributes to inflation. Food for example - there's a ceiling on the daily needs and even desires for ingestion, regardless of how much money you have.

Taxing corps tends to be a wash at best, but is often counterproductive. The ultimate calculus revolves around how much the corp values what it receives for those taxes. This does a pretty good job of covering how the corps look at it: https://www.nationalreview.com/2015/12/counterproductive-corporate-taxation/

Taxation only really works well as a restrictive tool when it is on the end consumer. Using landlording as an example, if you tax the landlords, the tax will simply be passed on to tenants in the rental cost. If you tax the tenants directly for renting, you'll see greatly reduced demand for rentals and a lot of unintended consequences.

Should all be wrapped up this week, but who knows what's going on behind the scenes. There's no transparency from anybody.

Does it matter if the shares are real? They are all worth less than they were when they split.

It should matter, because there was only 1 float's were of shares issued via computershare. There should be a whole pile of people that didn't get the dividend, as it's been essentially empirically proven that retail alone owns more than the original float.

But everybody got their shares. They shouldn't have, but they did.

Welp, it looks like it's up to GME at this point. The SEC is complicit, and retail doesn't have enough money to move the needle in any meaningful way.
