What about the friction coefficient variations between a dry seal or a wet one? :D

Maybe you should call KY and ask them what the friction coefficient is of their lube.
Then come back and let us know on Friday. Because that would be one killer Friday post.

Nobody knows who your shop teacher is. I fear we’re in danger of becoming our parents.

I’m going with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum next oil change based on ProjectFarm testing/value:

By the time this is over, I’m betting cleaning the oil filter out with carb cleaner.
And straining the old oil through coffee filters will be the best option.
Or maybe buy an electric vehicle is the best option. Then we won’t have to worry about it?

Yes and in the meantime the comic relief provided by those that love to stir the pot and those that have no idea what they are talking about is just priceless. Thank You Thank You. My shop teacher was a hunchback chain smoker who was as full of shit as a Christmas goose.

    Haha nonsense.
Pennzoil Ultra Platinum meets all API and SAE and other specs as do most synthetics. Has a low NOACK volatility as well.
    http://www.pqiamerica.com/March2013PCMO/consolidatedpagefinl.html

Pennzoil even has a 15 year/500,000 mile warranty for engine lubrication related issues.

I’m using the Ultra 3600. 1” taller than OEM. Plan on doing 10K intervals with Amsoil SS 0W30.

Yeah? What makes you say so? I’m not standing up for one vs the other, but convince me it’s garbage. Show me some real life evidence or statistical data that proves it’s garbage.

    Agree to disagree.
I don't know you either, but I do trust my old Auto Shop Teacher. That class WAS over 30 years ago though, so Pennzoil could have changed, but my opinion of it has not. :pccoffee:

You got it is all wrong.
The whole point of this thread is, that 1 Fram Ultra filter is superior to 2 of any other filter.
Come on man, read already.
