Let's hope they updated that horrid interior in the Colorado.

LOL... no long bed on any trim? Fail. Toyota had better not copy that bonehead move with the new Tacoma. I stopped watching the video at that point since short bed is simply a non-starter for me.

Who buys a midsize truck to drag race?

Tacoma has a long bed, this doesn't.
Tacoma is proven reliable, this isn't.
Tacoma doesn't have the dogturd 8-speed, this still does for some inexplicable reason.

Has anyone else noticed all the electrical problems that gm products have. Always one drl out, saw an hhr with a faulty taillight the other day looked like it could be mistaken for a turn signal. And the Volt that magically ignites.

All I am saying is I drive a 2021 4x4 crew cab Silverado everyday and it is an absolute pleasurer to drive. Out of the 20 or so vehicles I have owned it is by far my favorite daily driver. And I waived the "oh fuck that turbo 8 speed tranny BS" flag for a long time. You should drive one.

Yup, in addition to no long bed that GM 8-speed would be another non-starter for me. I can't even tell you how many C7 Corvette guys have cried many tears over those POS's.

And that GM redesigned the 8 speed starting with the 2021 year model when they introduced it across more models. I zip around in a full size and never even feel it shift.

I love the look of the new truck but I had a 2018 ZR2 and it had the 8 speed and it was terrible. It suffered from the transmission shutter a lot of them have even after they did the transmission flushes and replaced the torque converter it got a little better but just never seemed right hard downshifts and random hard up shifts. The V-6 that it had did feel peppier than the Tacoma though

I get some/most of you have a hard on for the Tacoma. It's a Tacoma site. But I mean the long bed, really. They don't offer it because simply put it does not sell. And for those of you who think a certain way. Just go fucking drive a turbo vehicle. And the extra gears really do make for a much more enjoyable experience.

That... is perhaps the very first chevy interior design that I don't hate. That looks nice.

Wait. Where are the center air vents?

Edit, NVM. I see them. weird, but ok. Still kinda nice.

Stay away from turbo charged engines unless they are diesels. They are short lived and they are only fuel efficient if they are not used.

Just looked out my window and saw a CCLB Colorado.
Access cab Tacomas and DCLB Tacomas are everywhere on the road, we see them constantly.

I would suggest that like most other industry-released statistics, their real-world application is meaningless. 259 ft-lb, at what RPM? 5, 6, 7000? Probably. How about some actual numbers in the 1750-2500 RPM range where the powertrain spends 99% of its time. As for 237hp, HOW did they arrive at that? IHP? BHP? CHP? And again, at what RPM? Nothing most people are likely to spend any time in. It's also important to consider the torque and hp curves; are they a progressive, linear "curve" (unlikely) which might actually mean something, or a slow, gentle increase up the power-band and a high torque, high-hp spike at the top end when you stomp on it.

You absolutely do NOT know what you are talking about regarding the demand for double cab long bed Tacomas. The dealers in my area have as strong demand for DCLB as TRD Pros. They would sell a boat load more of each if Toyota would produce more.
