Got more info on that New England Overland rally at Thompson speedway in CT.

Yes, it's at a racetrack. The event is the track owners idea so he is using his venue.

It's a multi day event, camping will be available anywhere there is grass on the track.

Owner will be setting up "off-road" obstacles around the venue for attendees to attempt (boulder road, logging, marsh, etc).

There will be classes for off-road recovery, best practices, etc on hand.

508 intl will be attending and handing out free day vouchers to their compound in MA .

Giveaways, 4x4, off-road and overland vendors will be in attendance.

That's what I've got so far. Flyers and more info to follow.

I’m assuming you can just go for the day and walk around? If so I’ll probably take my kids one of the days.

Yep, there will be single day attendee tickets available if you don't want to dedicate the entire weekend.

Anyone interested in a North Maine Woods trip over labor day weekend? Would be going up to Ashland on Friday, then coming out Tuesday. In theory, we would be around Greenville Monday 4-5PM, so if you need to get back to civilization for Tuesday AM (Can’t get PTO), we can handle that.

Ashland -> Trains -> Afternoon at camp hanging about -> Moosehead -> Bomber

Have room for a few more trucks.

:spy: with us? haha I can’t keep track of usernames and whatnot anymore!

That’s a strong maybe. Last year overnight temps fell to 35 the first night, 45ish the other nights. There’s some great paddling to be had for sure, but the water has every right to be real cold.

I do not bring kayaks that later in the year, earlier in the year I would for sure.

I dont think I'll be joining you guys, may say hi if we happen to cross paths up there.

I always bring them, makes mpg shit but I think its completely worth it. Good point about cold water at that point in the year, I just plan on not falling in.

Got a couple of things I’m tossing around for that weekend, but this could be the winner, I’d have to head home Monday, but that’s not a big deal.
