OEM tailgate lock. Not much to see. Why doesn’t Toyota just make that a standard feature? Install was pretty easy, but a little time consuming. I’m pretty OCD and I wanted everything to look as factory as possible. A lot of time spent on my back installing zip ties.

Re-Installed my sway bar after 2 years with MOOG bushings and relocation brackets. Reason being the Bilstein 6112’s ride a lot softer than the OME w/888x’s… That being said I was no longer comfortable at SoCal freeway speeds. Also for those wondering the drop bracket doesn’t interfere with the ARB recovery point.

my first Tacoma didn't have it, and I liked that way because 80% of the time I just want to unlock the doors, not the tailgate, so I'm not putting extra wear on that locking motor.
I do have it now from factory (regional distributor to be precise), we'll see how long the motor lasts.

Oh yea, I was assuming robin303 wanted an FPV quad. If you just want a regular old camera drone you can't beat the DJI Minis. I have the Mini 2 and it's fantastic just for taking pictures and videos. What makes it a great tripod in the sky though also makes for a very unfun experience as far as flying is concerned. It's like the difference between driving a sportscar and getting into the backseat of a taxi. And the difference between watching a movie on your phone or watching a movie in the front row of an IMAX theater. They're both "drones", but two vastly different worlds between FPV and camera drones.

You can fly the DJI Mini in FPV mode. Haven’t tried it, but there is a setting for it.

If you unlock the doors with the remote only the doors unlock, unless you press the unlock button again. Same with the door handle. If you just grab the handle to unlock it like usual, the tailgate doesn’t unlock. If you press the unlock button in the truck, the tailgate will unlock.

Little diy mod of the day.

Got a new tube bumper so my DD pro fogs with the curve no longer worked. I was planning on buying new covers to replace the curved ones. I ended up cutting them down, hit it with a flap disc, then finished it off with a 1k enamel spray paint. Saved around 60 bucks, looks exactly the same as the other covers.

Did you get that cover off without removing the A pillar trim? Also, is there a significant difference in sound quality?

edit: I just went and looked. Apparently you don’t have to remove the trim. Every video I watched on YouTube showed the trim being removed. That was the only thing keeping me from upgrading.
