Ah, found it, they definitely do it differently in IOS

 

Yep I just had to look myself. For iOS users click the small "i" overlay in the bottom right corner.

 

It seems to display a lot of the trails we use up north but doesn't have any info when you click on them. Still need the MVUM and other layers for that info.

 

Spent a bit of time looking at it today. I do like how it differentiates paved/gravel/dirt roads. Also that it shows ATV/UTV only trails assuming they are accurate.
Agreed on the need to also use the MVUM layer as well. Especially for dates when the trails are open.

 

The overlanding layer does have open dates on some trails if you zoom in. Still check them against the official MVUM maps, there seems to be discrepancies with Gaia's dates

 

Android users must be special, I'm not seeing that so far. Maybe I'm not looking in the right areas, idk.

Sidebar (literally) - if there's interest in a trip to a Wauwatosa brewery, let me know. There's a new one, Lion's Tail, opening this fall just down from my place - could serve as a good spot for those in the Kenosha/Racine and Madison areas to meet halfway.

 

Would love to, but I'm working an overnight shift Tuesday before I'm off until the following Tuesday for Road America shenanigans!
