Has anyone gotten shipping notifications/deliveries on their caps yet?

 

Was told a few weeks by MCT on 7/5 when I paid my final invoice so hopefully any day now

 

If you haven't gotten your shipping notification yet, that means that the earliest you can expect something is the week of August 21st. They pretty reliably ship out around the 18th of each month. Take it from somebody with a 17 month long order on a 5ft sport.

 

For rhose of you that live out west, how are these doing for keeping out dust?

That's the constant issue I'm fighting with canopies, is trying to keep the dust out. The dealer I spoke to said they've had better luck sealing up the traditional fiberglass style toppers compared to these. I figured you guys might have good input though.

Haven’t had a dust issue yet. Seal up the bed. Got more dust in the cab than the canopy in Moab.

 

Colorado ZR2 Owner here...keep your hissing to a minimum. Since these caps are popular on Tacos, I used the threads on TW a bunch for research...so thanks.

I just wanted to chime in on anyone debating grabbing one of these...especially the customer service aspect. I ordered my cap on July 13 and received it in less than 2 weeks. Again, these aren't as popular on Colorados yet, so there was no shipping delay.

Assembly is a pain due to tight tolerances, which is a good thing. Directions are spot on and with 2 people, these can be installed, but more would have been much easier.

The fit and finish is fantastic...aside from my drivers side cap door. I emailed RSI and one of their techs got back to me within a few hours. We emailed a few times about adjusting the door via loosening some bolts. No joy. He emailed the factory production guy with my issue and pics. They're reply was......to produce an entire new side panel with the door and have it shipped to me via air freight. They're also shipping a new bulb seal and saw in the pics that I did not have the latch covers and said they'd make sure I get a set of those as well.

This is the customer service one should expect and receive. State the problem, attempt a fix, accept the defeat and rectify the issue. Sh!t happens and I truly appreciate a company that has great customer service.

So if anyone is hesitant....so far at least....rest assured that these folks stand behind their product.

OME HD Leaf pack going on tonight....as my ass end dropped almost 1.5" with the bumper, tire, cap and some other junk in the back.

 

Ive got one planned for next week that I had to push back...

The vent in the top creates a positive pressure inside and I had no issues with water or dust.

 

Still waiting. No new updates since MCTs last update on the 19th.

 

Went camping and camp back with a surprise. RSI said they will ship out my lock covers when it’s available. After talking to the rep, a week later I got it in my mail.

Received the shipping notification & details from MCT on Friday. Just waiting on tracking info to update.

Ordered May 17th, and then final payment on July 5th. I ordered the EvoA for a 2016 6' bed.

 

Danggg. I hope I get my shipping notification soon. I have the same EVOa 6' spec as you. Ordered the beginning of march. final payment July 10

 

I ordered May 15th and paid final invoice 7/5. I ordered the evo sport 5’ bed. Hopefully see something soon

 

It worked better than the fiberglass I had on my F250 but I also sealed the bed at the rear. Dust intrusion will happen especially with the way tacoma beds are made.
