    to include @musicisevil

That's a Bearded Taco. Third Gen Utility Cab. Been around since 2016. Mine is a '17.

The Ute Cab are all SR - but not all SR are Utes.

Added a front recovery point in place of my original hook. I liked the Supreme Suspensions hooks - which seem to be an improvement over the common Demon brackets, but I wasn't sure I could really get comfortable with a one-bolt setup, even if it braces itself against the back of the member and would only be used lightly. Instead I went with the BPF model that uses all 3 bolts up front and made out of 1/2" steel. It's no ARB, but it has to be better than the original hook - 3 bolts versus 2 and I can use shackles if I want. Disclaimer: I am not a serious off-roader and this would be used for odd stuff or possible snow issues so it'll work for me! :)

PS - I'll have a set of Supreme Suspension brackets for sale soon!

they must have installed mine differently, the tailgate unlocks/locks with just 1 press of the remote button, or touching either the driver or passenger door handle keyless sensor

You can change this under vehicle preferences in the head unit. I changed mine to cycle all locks as well.

I received the 2 pin Deutsch connectors from Amazon and the zip tie holders from tnutz that were recommended by @Kane50. So I finished up my harness and installed it onto the rack. Really impressed with the tnutz. They are super secure; no way are they coming out with vibration and the material seems like it’ll hold up to UV exposure just fine. Plus I installed them underneath the extrusions. Not totally happy with my wiring but you’d have to climb up to see it and it’s secure and won’t causing any noise while driving so I can live with it.

Just a photo to show the tnutz in the extrusion. I actually mounted them underneath.

Wiring harness just chillin’ roughly where it’ll go.

Not the best photo because it started getting dark but harness ‘mostly’ hidden under the extrusions.

The DD SS42 light bar is blindingly bright. I’ll hopefully try it out in total darkness this weekend to see the output. I’ll also take the truck on a drive to check out the wind noise with the rack. Tacoma has been sitting for weeks and getting mods in the driveway as I’ve been busy with life and haven’t had a need to drive it; been using the wifey’s Model 3 as she has been on summer break from teaching.

Swapped out the fox (with squeaky Eibach spring upgrades) for Ironman FCP W/ powder coated red springs. Too soon to tell if they’re better, but they handle potholes like a champ and I no longer feel like I’m floating between lanes on the freeway (some people might like that).
