Nice, best of luck! Is there anything else you can do for the roof outside of what you’ve done or is it one of those “is what it is”situations?

I had the same thing happen in 2013. I’d had my new truck 6 weeks when a severe storm knocked over two trees that basically surrounded my truck. I had to some friends with chainsaws come over and help me get my truck out. Fortunately it was only small dents on the roof, hood, passenger door and bedside, but not what you want to see happen to a truck with less than 1,500 miles.

Yeah vehicles this old tend to be totalled since the cost of fixing cost the insurance company more than just paying you off and them auctioning off the truck to recoup some of their payout to you

Damn, if your truck wasn’t lifted the tree wouldn’t have touched it.

If I remember correctly it also pulled a bunch of cars out of the water when Houston got flooded a few years ago.

that was the great flood of 2016 in Louisiana. I think the only disaster I ever went to in TX was hurricane Ike.

I got the initial insurance estimate. About $4000. I think there are some things they may have missed but if I push it too much more I'm thinking they will total it. They want to replace the roof pan, anyone done this or had it done with good results?

Yes. State by state. Here more or less, not sure for what or circumstance, if its on your property it’s yours. Then there is “Squatters Rights”, “abandoned property”, etc. Also here, you can trim “their” trees that over hang your property to the main branch.
