It used to be something like that here, and then at some point went up to $40

Had some Weller Full Proof tonight. Wasn’t as warm as I thought it’d be, actually a little underwhelming. What else are people thinking about this pour?

I’d be impressed if you found enough people who’ve had it to form a quorum…

I think that was why I liked it, some of the barrel proofs I’ve had were way too hot and this was a bit more mellow. Most of the “higher end” barrel proofs I’ve had (Stagg Jr, EHT, Weller) were surprisingly smooth compared to like Bookers or EC BP for example

I haven’t had Stagg Jr but definitely agree with you on the EHT and Weller as it compares to ECBP and Bookers

This is exactly how I felt about Stagg.

I was a bit turned off by full proofs after I grabbed the usual ones a while ago, seemed to just give me a sore throat lol. But my eyes were opened when I tried the good stuff!

I’ve got three bottles of EHTBP and I’m not looking forward to them being gone

Lucky man. I had one bottle but given I was afraid I wouldn’t enjoy it I traded for two bottles of Blanton’s gold. Happy with the trade for sure, but after trying the EHTBP at a buddy’s house I’d like to snag another one day

Spotted Ronnie's batch at SoCal Costco today. I spent about 10 minutes mulling it over but ultimately passed on it since we had to resupply on baby formula, diapers & wipes on top of our regular groceries.

Picked this up for someone on a similar thread, different site. Apparently there was collaboration with the former master distiller from Four Roses. It’s won some big shot awards or whatever.

Actually one of their versions won the same award at the SF World Spirits Competition that Pappy won previously. I believe that’s what kicked off all the Buffalo Trace nonsense.

I'd love post something like... I detect notes of cinnamon and dates or whatever but I like the Elijah Craig Rye but I'm a fan of the burbon anyway. Smooth like the bourbon. The Sazerac is ok a little sweet tasting for me.
